so, the pattern is only shown in the bio luminescence of the night?
Interesting thought  . AFAIK, we have no way of knowing for sure, since the shawl is only featured in scenes taking place at night. I doubt it, it looks like the pattern is part of the texture and not just color. But that would be cool

well I wondered that since Tirey said it was shown pure white in one scene- which, I don't think is right- I rewatched the film last night and it was only shown during night scenes.
Tirey said that it was white and not purple, it looked purple on the still because of the reflection of the bioluminescence of the three op souls.
