Good stuff!

Though it would be nice to see the differences between Avatars and native Na'Vi. The main things I've noticed is that Avatars can have more human noses (like with Grace), they have human hands, and have eyebrow hair. But those are only the obvious differences, I was wondering if there are differences in proportions and what not.

The only big thing I noticed as a difference between the Na'Vi and Uniltíranyu is their eyes. Na'Vi have much larger, more feline like eyes, while Uniltíranyu eyes are smaller, a bit more comparable to Human eyes.

So after looking around i tried to make an okay comparison of Grace and Neytiri didn't find a direct portrait so some direct comparisons as with Skxawng's jake are harder.

But looking it over, except for the ears and skin tone it Grace's avatar look more human than Na'vi.
It's quite possible that that is at least part of the, outsider, treatment the Na'vi give to Grace as well.

Interesting side note, Norm's Avatar does look Na'vi (as close as Jake's did)(and from the ONE i could find of norm's) so it could be that they had the 'newer' versions of avatars as opposed to grace's and the others.

That's what I was thinking, about Jake's and Norm's being newer models. I'll have to take a closer look to the few other avatars we see in the film since it would make sense that they are the older models as well.

Kaltxì frapo!

I found recently on a forum someone who worked on the making of some avatar and na'vi in 3D for the film! There is Jake's, Norm's and Grace's avatar, and Neytiri. It's really well done and realistic, and you can use it too as reference, though it's not the final avatars... (In fact, Grace's is too chubby... ^^)

Yes i would of thought they would of had "newer" versions becuase Grace already had an avatar before they had got there's. Whilst Jakes and Norms avatar's where grown whilst they where in transit so they might have made some changes the the gene's.

Wow this is amazing!! I'm just wondering how do you actualy change your face to look more Na'vi. I'm really new to this type of stuff so can someone please tell me the tools and the process of actually forming your face to look like that.

Used photoshop, use the lasso tool to select the various parts, then copy-pasted the selection into a new layer. From there, I free-transformed to scale upwards, and moved and rotated the eye to fit the proportions mentioned in this topic. Afterwards, I used the eraser with a soft brush to fuzz out the edges and blend the transformed bit into the rest of the face.

A big difference that I haven't seen anyone mention yet Avatars have 5 fingers Verses Na'vi 4.
