Still, I am having a hard time parsing pesu. We have no word I know of that takes a form that would attach to -pe+: su, tu or tsu?

I also don't understand why 'You and who' would be an adverbial phrase. This is, at minimum, a noun phrase which is the subject of the verb in this sentence. OTOH, as I have explored prepositions in my head, I can clearly see why thee would be considered adverbial. Even so, prepositional phrases can also be used as 'adjectives', and when so used in Na'vi, need an attributive -a-.

pesu of course is just short for pe+ tute => *pesute -> pesu (which person, who?)
and this also means that tupe is short for tute -pe => *tutepe -> tupe (which person, who?)

And this I pretty much agree with. Though I see it as a noun phrase which is the subject of the verb.

I have been thinking about this a little bit, and have come to the conclusion that this words is unique enough that it should be in the dictionary. Does this word exist in any canonical sources or Na'viteri?

O__________O

Is pesu NOT in the dictionary? That would be shocking news to me.

EDIT: it is.

pesu: [pɛ.'su] P F inter. who allomorph of tupe

DOUBLE EDIT: and tupe too.

tupe: ['tu.pɛ] P F inter. who allomorph of pesu

What's this confusion all about then? :-\

TRIPLE EDIT: continued discussion about pesu/tupe from this point will result in a split. ;)

I've searched in the dic, and tupe/pesu IS there

tupe: ["tu.pE] PF inter. who allomorph of pesu
pesu: [pE."su] PF inter. who allomorph of tupe

...confusing!
Triple edit: Meh, I overlocked this line: "EDIT: it is."
