I'm just wondering, since we don't have any actual possessive pronouns right?

I figure in simple sentences like

faysko oeru lu
these-bows me(DAT) be

It translates happily as "I have these bows" or "these bows are mine".

But might present a problem using comparitives...

poyä tsko lu nì'ul tsawl to ... <?>
his bow be more big than... <mine?>
his bow is bigger than... <mine?>

So do you think you'd use the genitive form here with a full noun phrase
poyä tsko lu nì'ul tsawl to oeyä tsko.

Or can you drop the "bow"?
poyä tsko lu nì'ul tsawl to oeyä.

Or perhaps you'd have to use a horrible relative clause like
his bow is bigger than the one which I have

Any thoughts?

I hope something like this can be ok: "tskorì oeru lu nì'ul to ngaru"
But no garanties here  :P

I would just say:

poyä tsko lu tsawl to oeyä.

I don't think we need nì'ul if we have to; at least, "the biggest I've ever (seen) in my life" is just

   a-tsawl fra-to mì-sìrey.

That makes sense to me - irayo ma Roger.

I was thinking about this over a beer since posting... and every example I can think of where a possessive pronoun would be a good thing, there's some not-too-nasty way around their absence.

omängum fra'uti

Which it should be taken with a grain of salt due to being in a song, there is an example of genitive standing alone in the weaving song...  "trrä sì txonä" - of day and of night.
Ftxey lu nga tokx ftxey lu nga tirea? Lu oe tìkeftxo.
