I found the learning resources I found so far pretty difficult to use for me, e.g. the vocabulary was sorted alphabetically, that way you often learn compound words before their derived parts. So I wanted to make a better learning resource, and I found Anki very handy for that. I also wanted, that the words are read out each time I see them. Thankfully, Plumps and Talis did that for a large set of the words. In the current set, only those words that have a spoken file are inside the deck (and may', for some reason). Keep in mind that "nän" is read incorrect (I should remove that ASAP).

In my configuration, I have three types of cards.
On the first variant, I have on the front side the Na'vi word displayed and read out. Then, when I hit space, I see the word where the stressed syllables are underlined, below that the IPA notation, word type, word groups, translation (screenshot is German, but I also have an English version), and then example sentences from the Annotated Dictionary by Plumps (that guy is a hero for me :) ). However, as I screwed up my regex, not all sentences are extracted properly and some are even pretty messed up (containing LaTeX code and so forth). Sorry for that :-\
[smg id=6400]

The second type of card is the other way round, id est first the translation and then the Na'vi word (again, as in the screenshot)
The third type is the same as the first, however, the word is only read out and not displayed. That way I train my hearing skills even more. In most cases, you can understand the spoken words very well.

Instead of the steps below, you now just install this package, works on AnkiDroid as well: https://www.dropbox.com/s/dawmx1zk529smmu/navi_with_words.apkg Accidentally I answered one card and included that answer in the package so don't be confused if Anki assumes you got "oe" right once :C

If you also want to use my deck, then do the following:
1. You first have to install Anki (or a similar program)
2. Download the *.csv file in this post's attachment.
3. Download the dict-navi.media.zip from the dict-navi.org page: http://dict-navi.com/downloads/en/dict-navi.media.zip.
4. Extract the contents of the *.zip into the Anki media folder. For me, under Windows, that folder located at My Documents\Anki\User 1\collection.media.
5. Open Anki and create a new Note Type (under Ctrl+Shift+N), "Clone: Simple", and name it "Na'vi Card".
6. Add (or rename) these fields under Fields... in this order: term, stressed_term, ipa, word_type, word_groups, affixes, translation, bidirectional, sentences, read_word. Now you should have 10 fields with said names in this card.
7. Under Cards..., you have three text boxes on the left. Replace the contents of each by these:
8. Add a new card type by clicking on '+' on the top right corner. Now paste the following in the top and bottom box (leave the middle box unchanged):
9. Do the same again for another new card type:
10. Now, back to the main window, create a new deck and call it "Na'vi vocabulary".
11. Click "Import file" on the bottom and select the *.csv file from the attachment of this post.
12. Select the "Na'vi Card" type we created before and the deck we just created.
13. The separator has to be the tilde ~ instead of comma.
14. Choose "Allow HTML in fields" to be checked, leave the rest as is and click "Import".
Now you can start learning!

If something doesn't work, please let me know. When someone want to have the German version, I can upload that as well :) The sentences will be fixed as soon as I have the time to do so...
If I make errors, don't hesitate to correct me.

If I had access to the media page of the main LN website, I would add the new Anki decks there immediately.

Excellence work! :D

I'm not an Anki user but it really looks fantastic. :)

And it's great to see that the example sentences and audio files are useful  ;)

NB: The thing about nän is really weird. I'll check with Tukan. Something with the assignment is not right, the play button should be for nìn.

The thought of you, as a Na'vi pro, using this deck and hearing yourself all time is funny :D

I also figured that the ukxo is - IMO - clearly spoken as "utxo", which is a bit confusing ..

Also I am not an Anki user, but it is really nice.

Very good work ma EyeOfPython  :)

I edited the post and added that one can use the thing as package too (uploaded that somewhere because it's too large). It would be cool if someone would know where I can upload that in a better manner than the current host. But works ok atm.

Ngaru tsulfä.  :-[ I'm far from being a pro.

About ukxo. Does anybody else hear it that way? Maybe I'm biased but I don't hear a tx.

Picky is my ... other middle name ;D
That's totally ok. I just wanted to know whether I should record it again, maybe clearer. No problem at all. ;)

Based on the new frequency dictionary, when I'm having more time, I'll be able to make an even better version, ordered by importance. Let's see.
