I was wondering if the Na'vi would get the bone deformity "pectus excavatum".
Im not to sure, because they are similar to humans.
Also curious because i also suffer this deformity
If you are easily disturbed, dont look at these examples of pectus excavatum

No, I haven't seen anyone with this defomities. And I know a lot of Na'vi. If you want to learn more, ask per PM. ;)

The Na'vi's chest is not that wide.

It's an interesting thought...but remember in the movie when Colonel Quaritch is lecturing the newbies on the Na'vi?
He says, "We have an indigenous population of humanoids called the Na'vi. They are fond of arrows dipped in a neurotoxin that'll stop your heart in one minute. And they have bones reinforced with naturally occurring carbon fiber. They are very hard to kill."

I'm guessing that their bones, which seem to be pretty sturdy and heal easily, probably don't get pectus excavatum.
But, I really don't know...that's just my opinion.  :)

They might be able to get something similar but chances are they wouldn't live that long on Pandora.

The chest of a Na'vi is reinforced with extra bone structure, they do not have this "deformity", as you call it.

Female Na'vi have a similar chest bone structure to us but male Na'vi have an other bone at the bottom which reenforce the overall structure.

Also, by living in a tribal environment, I expect every person with malformations to die very quickly from related causes.

Do you have any pictures where we can clearly see what you mean?
