Ma Tsahìk! Ftang nga!

« on: May 16, 2012, 11:00:00 am »

Kaltxì, ma oeyä eylan! Kame ngat.

Now, am I mistaken, or did the move of the forum to another server invoke some technical problems?
I may be mistaken, but I think that since the move it periodically becomes somewhat laggy (I had better response times before the move), and a few minutes ago it even lost its connection to the underlying database.

Is there anything in the logs or something that could serve as an indicator to what might be going wrong?

There are indeed some network issues. I am working with the colocation techs even as we speak to try to figure out what's going on.  There may be periodic weirdness until everything is straightened out.
I will update here as we go...

I'm seeing the same thing as Ningey is. I often get database errors when I load pages, and requests just timeout sometimes.

It took me 3 tries just to post this...

Just hang on for a bit. The database errors should be fixed (I found that problem). The generally slow response of the server is being worked on right now.

'Periodic weirdness' is a good technical term, I think.  I often experience the same problems.  Grin

Ok, the network problem has been resolved at the colo. I think we should be pretty stable from here on...

I'm having a few problems posting; I mentioned it in the thread about the new server.

Got it. The stuff on this thread was about the issues going on before the old server finally crashed.  Smiley
