Tswusayona Tsamsiyu

Kaltxì ma frapo
I have problems with futa, furia, fula, fwa, tsnì and a.
I did get explanations from a few guys, but I assume there are many more like me.
So I think we should write a big post on these (I know wm.annis is about to), giving detailed explanations, translations to english if possible and example sentences.
I am sure it will help many Na'vi learners.

Please tell me if you see mistakes in a Na'vi post of mine. It's the only way I'll learn. :P

These all related to fì'u

The main point of using fì'u- a / a fì'u- : making a phrase or a sentence into a NOUN

Ikran Ahiyìk

Got something in the recent Na'viteri blog post

Quote8. sngum (n.) "worry"

For verb (worry, be worried, be anxious), uses "lu DAT" construction:

    Lu oeru sngum a saronyu ke tìyevätxaw.

    "I'm worried that the hunters will not return (soon, as expected)."

~Derived form: nìsngum (adv.), "worryingly, fretfully"

    Swey lu fwa nga fìkem ke sivi nìsngum.

    "It's best that you not do this fretfully."

    (It's best that you don't freak out about doing this.)

look at this

    Swey lu fwa nga fìkem ke sivi nìsngum.
    It's best that you don't freak out about doing this.

What to do at first, is breaking it down.
Remember, all sentence with a s are combinded by more that one clauses.

    Swey lu. / Nga fìkem ke sivi nìsngum.
    It is best. / You don't freak out about doing this.

That's it. Now you see what the elements are.

The main point of this sentence is - "It is best". In Na'vi it is Swey lu., or make it clear, Swey lu fì'u.
If it is under a conversation, then the listener will know what the "it" represents.
Now, assume the "it" is unknown, so we have to tell the others what "it" is.

Fwa is fì'u a, let's see how it works.

The main part is

    Swey lu fì'u.
    It is best.

and we have to tell what fì'u means.

    Swey lu fì'u a nga fìkem ke sivi nìsngum.
    It is best that you don't freak out about doing this.

See? The underlined thing makes all the green stuff into a PRONOUN fì'u, then we can say all that "is best".

It means the sentence can also be written as

    Nga fìkem ke sivi nìsngum a fì'u swey lu.

All these pronouns work in this way. Case markers vary the form:

fwa = fì'u + a
futa = fì'u-t + a
furia = fì'u-ri + a
fula = fì'u-l + a
