There's a lot of good ideas here, all of which might be useful in a story/conversation. Although I can understand the versions that do not contain a noun, I kind of think that the noun should be there. Ultimately though, I think context would dictate what works the best. The shorter examples would be fine if the conversation regards how fun the game is, as the idea of thinking about the game has been established. But, if you suddenly blurt this idea out, the more complex examples would be better.
