"as a brother"

Kaltxì, ma smuktu.  I have a rather sticky grammatical issue.

So, suppose i wanted to say something like, "I see you as a brother".  That "as" is giving me some grief.  My first instinct was to go with na, but then i feel like this is really an adverbial something-or-other, and the sentence's meaning is "I see you in a brotherly way"—so then i thought, nìtengfya.  But then i saw how na is used in the "Seeds of the Great Tree" Song, and...  I'm thoroughly confused.

"Oel ngati kame na tsmukan"?  "Oel ngati kame nìtengfya tsmukan"?

Recently K. Pawl used nì'eveng and nìfyeyntu ... so, perhaps nìtsmukan is also possible

Your examples seem fine to me in their own right ... they could have different connotations. I tend toward the nìtengfya form because for me that refers more to kame, thus more toward the adverbial form.
I'd use the na form when you want to refer to ngati
Same as:
'see in a brotherly way' (nìtengfya)
'you as a brother' (na)
