Ma frapo, yesterday I wrote the sentence (slightly corrected now):

'Efu oe nitram talun ngaru lolu 'o' tsaultxa.

I meant it to say, "I feel happy because that meetup was fun for you."
Here "meetup" is the subject of the second clause.

But it is also translatable as "I feel happy because you had a fun meetup" (in which case I need 'o'a).
Here "you" is the subject of the last half of the sentence.

Is my translation wrong, and if so, how would it be said to avoid confusion with the second meaning?  Thanks! :)

The corrections happened because the ngaru lolu being consecutive and first in the clause triggered the instinct to translate as "you had" instead of "was to you".

I wanna say it's correct both ways.

I think you're right.

'Efu oe nitram talun ngaru lolu 'o' tsaultxa. = I feel happy because that meetup was fun for you.
'Efu oe nitram talun ngaru lolu 'o'a tsaultxa. = I feel happy because you had that fun meetup.

If you're look at the last clause, you see that in first sentence the verb lu is a part of complex predicate lu 'o', but in second one - the part of expression ngaru lu (you have). We can't understand first sentence as "you have", because in this case there is orphaned adjective 'o'.

P.S. IMO, Ngaru lolu 'o' tsaultxa a fì'uri 'efu oe nitram or 'Eykefu oeti nitram fula ngaru lolu 'o' tsaultxa seem more natural :)

Exactly what Kemaweyan said. There's nothing to add.
