I-AGENT then-DAT THIS-PL-word give-IMPRF REL time, perhaps I-SUBJ sleep-PAST-IMPRF-NEG

I'm having trouble grokking the a krr construction.  I think this is related to my trouble with time words ( http://forum.learnnavi.org/intermediate/time-in-navi/ ).  To make KP's sentence as full as possible, he might've added a mì-, right?  To it in Engli'vi:
In the time which I gave them those words, I was (badly) asleep perhaps.

The reason I ask is because I'm working on this sentence:
fyape sun tuteo 'ivongokx krr a lu koak?
How can someone be born in a time which (he) is old?

I can't tell if I have the a on the correct side of krr.

You do have it on the correct side. If you want to use a krr, put it after the second clause: fyape tsun tuteo 'ivongokx lu koak a krr?

doesn't the pe+ lenite the tsun into sun?
'Ivong, Na'vi!

No, when you use it as suffix it doesn't lenite anything.
When the mirror speaks, the reflection lies.

No, when you use it as suffix it doesn't lenite anything.

This is also true of the adpositions — when suffixed, they don't cause lenition.

Your order with krr a is correct.  The scheme is:

    When Swhen, Smain
    Swhen a krr, Smain     or
    Smain, krr a Swhen

Irayo.  On a related note, are there any aspect restrictions for the "when" clause?  I'm thinking of 6.7.4. Simultaneous Imperfective and 6.19.6. Tengkrr.
