Oh yes, DBZ is awesomely fun stuff.  It's hilariously bad in so many places, but I love it anyway.  I liked Dragonball less, though still enjoyed it, but had a hard time getting into DBGT.

Yes, that aspect is one of the funniest parts!  Did anyone ever just run up and whack someone that was charging?  I don't remember it, and I think I would have died laughing if it ever happened.

My favorite saga, or whatever they called them, was the Namek one with Frieza.  That was the pinnacle for DBZ, at least for me.

But he was killed...by a kid!   ;)  Who they quickly turn into a sissy with future episodes.  *facepalm*  Gohan's sissification has always bothered me.

Broly and Cooler are my favorite bad guys. Did any else notice it? Cooler is Frieza's brother and they are King Cold's children. Makes me want to put a heavy coat on.

Yea i noticed this but my favourite saga was the Buu one with Kid buu because he was soo stupid.
i also liked it when goku turned SSJ for the first time in the Freiza saga and beat the crap out of Freiza.

That was awesome! I thought the episode in the cell saga where cell has that dream was pretty funny. Until he woke up, then I was like, "Darn."

It's just one of the many many many name-puns in Dragon Ball. Frieza (actually Freezer) is the boss of people such as "ginyu" which means "dairy" (actually gyunyu means "milk") and Gurto (which in japanese is a pun for Yogurt YO.GU.RU.TO) and Rikum (in japanese RI.KU.MU compare to the word for "cream" in jap KU.RI.MU) and so on and so forth.

In fact Gohan with other kanji means "food" or "rice", Ten Shin Han means "Rice à la Tientsin (a region in China)", Yamcha means "Yam tea" (a kind of chinese tea). Note that Nameku means "worm, caterpillar" and the people there have names like NEIL (or NAIL) that comes from "snail". Piccolo is different because at the time he was introduced he had as henchmen people like "tambourine" and "drum"... all musical instruments. Bulma is a japanese transliteration of "bloomer" and her son is "Trunks" which means just that, grandson of Dr. Briefs.

The saiyajin are saiya (revesed yasai, "vegetable") they lived in planet Vegeta with a king Vegeta, and had people named like Kakarotto (from carrot, or jap KA.RO.TTO), Napa "turnip", Raditz. Vegetables, dairy and other foods commanded by the family of King Cold and his Freezer lol!

Yeah! That's just a bit, it's all around, Dragon Ball is a big big joke! Even the last saga, Bibidi (father of) Babidi (master of) Boo... I mean... the words of Cinderella's fairy godmother, and it's completely true. Even "Darbura" in fact is japanese DAA.BU.RA which can be rendered also "Dabra" as in Abra-cadabra. He added a long vowel as he omitted the long vowel on FU.RII.ZA, because freezer is usually spelled FU.RII.ZAA in jap. katakana. So... always joking, the only real mythical name there is Gokuu, and Gohan is a pun based on the repetition of the sound Go-.

And this one is my favorite... I don't know if you knew this, but it took me a while to get. Kame-hame-ha, the most popular attack in the series is actually a pun on the name of a Hawaiian king, called Kame-hame-ha. Toriyama liked it and took it because the "kame" means "turtle" in japanese, thus creating the "Master Turtle" and also "ha" at the end means "wave (of energy)". But it is actually the name of this king. You can wiki him if you like.

Of course the name is more like Kamehameha, the hyphens are a latter addition.

Do they still play? I thought they stopped the series, but I have to say it was awesome to see they were screaming at the top of their lungs for 3 episodes to take all the energy of the world, just to make a scratch on the other guy's face.

Afterwards because his nose is bleeding, he would go in a mental rage and beat up Goku, who doesn't seem to stop dying.

Afterwards, they always have to bring back the dragonballs to bring him back...Always him...literally....always.

Not always. And you have to remeber that an attack ALWAYS has to be hundreds of times bigger than the target for it to do ANY damage at all.
