Statistics hands down--specifically in the context of econometrics.  ;D

Calculus, multivariable calculus :D closely followed by algebra and trigonometry (and then everything else.. I like math ^^)

I'm in a microeconomics class, and was asked "That's like math, right?" about it at least twice this past Friday...

Economics is not math. There's some math involved (basic derivatives and formulas) though...

As an Economics graduate, I agree that it is not math. But it does get calculus heavy (and for certain areas heavy in linear algebra) in advanced undergraduate classes and of course at the graduate level. Hence the uninitiated making the erroneous connection.

My microeconomics class started using a little calculus...no big deal though. :D
