so, i decided to put something up of me speaking a couple of lines from the movie, and "I See you". If my pronounciation sounds funny, let me know, I'm trying to work on it, (and I'm a beginner  :P) .  :) I'ma also sorry about the weird clicking noise, I'm not sure what it is.  :-\

Not bad on the "oel ngati kameie" :)

The clicking noise probably came from your mic.  Try messing around with the buffer settings next time to avoid it if you can.

Great tries! :D I'm not an expert at pronunciation, but I find yours pretty good for a beginner. :) Sometimes, it's somehow difficult to understand you very well because of the file quality, but from what I can hear, I noted some points to improve. :) Sorry if I just misheard some things, and please don't take any of this as criticism. :D It's simply meant to help you if you want to improve your pronunciation - which you probably do if you posted this thread, kefyak? ;)

· The ng of Oel ngati kameie should maybe be a bit more emphasized so it sounds less like n. Think about "being" or "sign".
· In Fpole' sawtutel 'upxaret, I hear something like fepole. Just make sure you do the fp diphthong without anything in between.
· In ayoeri tsat new, I hear oeri. Try to make the starting ay more evident (e.g. like in "by" or "fly")!
· I have difficulties to grasp the way you say fpìye' in Slä awngal 'upxaret fpìye' for. Do you know French? Written with French sounds, fpìye' should ideally sound like the following: fpéiyé. Unfortunately I don't really know how to put that in English writing.. Just ask if you don't understand, we'll try explaining that further!
· In Kämakto nìwin, ayngati spivule hufwel, I hear (written the French way again) èyngati. The first a should be pronounced more clearly, like in "father" or "maman". (same thing with ayolo sounding like èyolo in the next line)
· In Ayolo'ru alahe peng ziva'u, we don't hear your glottal stops. Between ayolo and ru, and ziva and u, air must be stopped from entering your throat, and this would be supposed to make a pretty clear blockage sound. I know it's really not easy to master, but it is surely possible with practice!
· In Sawtuter wìyìntxu ayoeng, the ejective (tx) should make a "pop!" sound.
· In ke tsun fo fìkem sivi, you seem to say tsawn. The u be clearer, like in"you" or "blue".

Again, very good job, and don't let those comments/suggestions make you think you're not good! :) You're really on the right track, continue on this path. :D If someone doesn't agree with anything I wrote, please say so. :) I'd like to know if my perception is accurate! ;D

Thank you for all the corrections,Ftxavanga!  ;D and 'Oma, how do you edit the 'buffer' settings?  ???  I'm not sure what that is. I have windows 7 on this computer, and i just use something caled 'sound recorder'.

I should mention that the Na'vi e is also butchered in Jake's speech, but with practice it should get better :)

If you're using Windows' Sound Recorder, unfortunately you have no control over the mic settings to try and cut out the popping and glitching.  Try something else, such as Audacity (which is free).
