TV Opportunity: Beauty and the Geek Australia
« on: July 08, 2010, 02:30:33 am »
On behalf of Ewa from Australia's Southern Star, I'd like to invite any interested Na'vi-learning folks from Australasia to their open casting call for Beauty and the Geek Australia. Here's what they sent me:

Quote from: Ewa

I am writing to you from a television company called Southern Star and we are in our last week of casting the second series of the television series “Beauty and the Geek Australia”. Please do not take offence to the title of the show as we don't mean it in a derogatory way - if you have seen any of the show last year you will know that we are looking for intelligent guys who are proud of their intellect.

We are looking for very intelligent guys who are keen to educate and inform the ‘beauties’ on the show and potentially win a $100,000 prize.  It would be a great chance for them to meet some fun people, to have a life-changing experience, and to share their passions and knowledge with a broad audience. The portrayal of the ‘geeks’ is always intended to be warm and positive; they are the true heroes of the series. Last year’s contestants all really loved it, have remained firm friends, and are actively recommending it to anyone thinking about getting involved this year.

Like last year, we are looking for a variety of specialists to fill the "Geek" cast. We would love to include a devoted Aussie Avatar fan on this year’s series and I was hoping you might be able to point me in the right direction. If that person also happens to speak Navi that would be a bonus! They should be aged between 18 – 30 years old.

If you know anyone that might be interested please ask them to contact me or apply online at www.beautyandthegeek.com.au

I really appreciate your time.

Goddammit!

I mean, really?! So close! About 6 months of the age requirement.

...I wouldn't go on anyway really, I already have my "beauty" and I wouldn't give her up for anything. :)
