Hello my Australian brothers and sisters.
Kaltxì (don't forget the accent on the i) ma ay-smukan ay-smuke a ta Ostreylie lu.

Not really sure how to make a phrase into an adjective.  Prolly don't need the -a on the end though.  And it might even be le-, which makes nouns into adjectives.  I've just said "who are from Australia."  I'd love to know how to do the other though, it would be helpful.  And the ulte/sì distinction is a difficult one for English speakers, since we only have one "and": ulte joins two sentences together, whereas sì joins two things... if that makes sense.

Oel poanìt tsame'a ulte poanìl oeti tsame'a.
I-ERG he-ACC see-PAST and he-ERG I-ACC see-PAST
I saw him and he saw me.

Oel poanìt ikranìt peyä tsame'a.
I-ERG he-ACC and ikran-ACC he-GEN see-PAST
I saw him and his ikran.

In this sentence, ftu is a preposition, needing to go before the noun.  Otherwise it's good (although I think I'd spell Sydney like Sìtni!).

Welcome!

Hey all
Another Sydney dude here.

This may sound a little crazy but alot of people have gotten this to work.

We should have like a meet-up every so often to exchange thought and meet other avatar fans.

Stab in the dark, just because you phrase some of your sentences a way a mate does, but do you by chance go to Macquarie University Jono?

Also, greetings everyone, I'm from Chipping Norton myself, and am quite intrigued by the website, and more importantly the language. I don't have any form of skype/microphone headset/IRC and am stuck doing things the old fashioned way so would love to meet up with anyone interested at some point on a regular/semi-regular basis.

For reference, I'm a 24 year old student who goe sto Macquarie Uni9 studying biology/animal behaviour and currently defferringa semester or two whilst I work (as a charity worker in the suburbs of Sydney - if you see a tall chap with long hair and a beard in an Australian Red Cross T-shirt, feel free to say hi!).

Cheers and yay for first post!
