These sort of predictions, made long ago by humans who wanted to seem more powerful than they really were.
Saying it will end on a particular date seemed impressive.
Putting it hundreds of years into their future, ensured that they wouldn't need to deal with a backlash when they where proven wrong.
I've seen a few of these doomsday dates pass by and we are still here, please forget this superstitious bunk.
