Sigourney Weaver on the sequels
« on: December 01, 2016, 05:29:07 pm »

http://screenrant.com/sigourney-weaver-avatar-sequels-scope/

Avatar may have taken its position in cinematic history as one of the most internationally successful movies of all-time but work on Avatar 2 has been very much a slow and gradual process. With the original film released way back in 2009, director James Cameron has only recently begun to reveal concrete details regarding the franchise’s future, confirming that a total of four sequels are currently being planned for simultaneous filming, with the first set for release in December 2018. Cameron is also hoping to utilize glasses-free 3D technology for the quartet of new movies...

As said in the article, she'll be another character.

Exactly, they can just change the model of her Na'vi body and she can become completely diferent character or just play some kind of surroundings - one of the benefits of getting done part of film in virtual world.

I heard something similar too.
I really would know which character he will play (if it's true)

I thougt that at least one movie will deal with the time before Avatar. There would be lot of time for Dr. Augustine to appear.

I also want to say, that if the new movies pass 2020 with their releasing dates it would be a shame (especially for JC) to not produce and show them or, let's say, the later ones, in 8K.
Any framerate lower than 60 would also be a disappointment to me.

A prequel would give plenty of time for Miles too, and possibly Jake's brother Tommy.

Maybe I should write that Avatar prequel I've been toying with.
The Dragon Affair my current fanfic - now complete.

The Dragons Clutch, my last fanfic, non Avatar related.

Machine, my last Avatar related fanfic.

Yes, I agree. Prequel would be interesting for me  :)
