The website was wrong (of Zoe Saldana's removal from Avatar)

I posted a topic a few weeks ago that stated that I saw on a website that 20th Century FOX was going to fire Zoe Saldana. I didn't believe it, but just in case I posted it here so if it was official it wouldn't be a shocker. Well, here are two quotes from official websites that I trust:

On the website that I saw stating that they were thinking of firing her stated that she was asking for more money. So, either they gave the extra to her, never gave it to her (emphasize 'ask'), giving it to her in the future, or the website was incorrect

I would have to say not to trust the site that stated that she might get fired because it was more of a blog/forum then a news website. The sites above I would trust since the information was taken from a website that is more of a news site.

Even if she signed a contract saying she wouldn't get a pay raise for sequels, the movie made 2 billion dollars!

I know. She TOTALLY deserves a pay raise EVEN if she already had a huge contract. Heck, all the minor characters like Norm and Matt as well as the common extras you see through out the movie deserve a raise. I really like that one female scientist that kept showing up. The one who said "you're wiggling your toes?" and made a few other random appearences.

Trying to change Zoe out for another person would be terrible. plus, they already spent so much time working on and perfecting her visual character, that having to start from scratch with another person would be terrible. Plus, she's one of my favorite actresses, so I'd be upset if she was fired for that reason alone.

Yeah, she is a good actress. Did you see her in Pirates? She did a really good job there too, and I think her "next" movie is The Losers.

It would really suck if they threw her out. No way they'd do something like that.

On the bright side though: in the unlikely even that they DID fire one of the people who play Na'vi, at least the characters would still look the same cause they could still use the same digital "suit". The characters would just move and act slightly differently, and have a different voice. At least it wouldn't be like when an actor gets replaced in a live-action movie, where they look completely different.

But from what they said in one of the behind the scenes things, they really needed the actors to somewhat look like they're Na'vi counterparts because otherwise the emotion and expression just didn't translate as well. A Neytiri with sub par emotion would suck.
