I meant because he's not an avatar anymore, it shouldn't be called Avatar

I tthink that the creators do not give up a proven name

Don't forget the three prequels!
The Na'vi Menace
Attack of the Avatars
Revenge of the RDA

No, in the sequel Jake will be an Avatar again. He'll get sent to Earth by the Na'vi to find out what the humans are up to. Of course he gets a human Avatar body to survive in the Earth's atmosphere. Or as Tsu'tey would have said: ""A taronyu in an Avatar body, that's a potent mix."  :P

Okay, enough bad jokes for today.

*new here*

maybe they will just call it...ammm i dunnu...Pandora?

i mean, yea all of these jokes are funny and all, but they have to dtay on pandora this time, all the movie- without humans whatsoever. maybe they will show another tribe. maybe the new tribe is playing the role of the humans, the bad Na'vi, those who pollute and have technology. i really dont think there will be another full avatar movie, no it probably be anothr idea

Well they would probably name it something other than Avatar. I know a few trilogy movies ( maybe only one or two ) that have different names based on the same trilogy. I still would'nt mind if it's called Avatar 2 ( possibly the sequel will have some remaining avatars on Pandora )

at the end of Avatar, as the "aliens go back to their dieing world" you can see a couple avatars holding weapons standing next to jake and Neytiri. some of the scientist were allowed to stay, in which they still have avatars. If you can read the 07 script, its a hella good read and explains some of the story not told in avatar, but we hope to see some of that stuff in the exteneded special edition dvd/bluray <3

Yeah, I was about to say that aswell. There are still a lot of Avatars on Pandora. I doubt that they will all get the soul-transfer ritual. There would be only Dr. Max left because he never had an Avatar (or it would be VERY well rested now). Maybe the RDA returns and sees the advantage of the Avatar body, doing a full scale assault with Avatar-Marines or something. One just doesn't know but for the sake of reckognition I think it will be called either Avatar 2 or Avatar: "Insert witty title here"

and Norm - I still don't understand, why he go to the forest, after he lost his avatar  :(

That's quiet easy. It's like respawning in a game. For the scientific nerd he seemed to be, he was a really brave warrior. He tried to get back into battle and protect the Na'Vi. When he assaulted one of the guards in the connection chamber I was quiet surprised.

Besides I doubt that his Avatar was really killed. The way he was hit it seemed more like a shoulder wound or something. I think his Avatar is healing up and that's why he wasn't synched in his Avatar at the end.

no way, wound shouldn't disconnetct him.

in the script a marine in an amp suit come up and blast the avatar with a shot to the chest (assuming) either way that 30 mm round would destroy that body. however, assuming that we dont follow the 2007 script, norm coulda went to try and find his avatar body, the avatar body has basic motor functions when noone is in the link with it. So it would be safe to assume if it isnt completely destroyed, that Norm CAN save it. Also, i highly doubt that James Cameron wouild follow the same story with having ANOTHER military "action" movie.

Tsu'tey and Dr. Augustine live in Eywa. I'm afraid Trudy is gone for good. She was such a brave woman...

Short answer is, yes he is still an Avatar. An Avatar is a hybrid species different from both Na'vi and human so he doesn't magically turn na'vi from getting transferred to the Avatar.

Of course, but now his mind doesn't have to go between his avatar and his human body anymore.
The downside is that if his avatar would get killed, he wouldn't survive either, unlike Norm.  ;)
