So an evil version of Jake....

Maybe ... you know, we should have a poll for which it costs maybe $1 to enter and then the closest answer would win everything in the pot. Or maybe it should be 3 questions or some such ... I mean they do this kind of thing at work/home easy enough and with internet tech it shouldn't be too hard, LOL. Enough people enter and it would be a nice little gift for someone.

Maybe we should start a thread on it?

The guessing money pot sounds fun :)
Neytiri: Now you choose your woman. This you must feel inside. If she also chooses you, move quick like I showed.
Jake: How will I know if she chooses me?
Neytiri: She will try to kill you.
Jake: Outstanding. *takes out an ikran-catcher and walks through hometree looking for women*

... I'm honestly against it, but all that really means is that I won't be involved in it. ;)

OK ... how about these for questions?

1. Will any of the following characters be be "resurrected" for Avatar 2?  [Yes/No]
 * Colonel Miles Quaritch
 * Grace Augustine
 * Trudy Chacon

2. Who will be the new enemy in Avatar 2 [ single sentence]? [decided by panel (who cannot enter)]

So the idea is the first set of questions weeds out some of the people answering but the 2nd is the actual "quiz".

We could perhaps hold the quiz open until mid-year (because clues will start to come out prior to the film's release.

It's an idea (and probably not a  goer) ... dunno!

Found an interview with Stephen Lang .....
Quote
EXCLUSIVE: Stephen Lang on Avatar 2 and Terra Nova

I recently had the chance to speak with the fantastic actor Stephen Lang for his new independent movie White Irish Drinkers, which arrives in theaters March 25. I also had to ask the actor about his involvement in the highly-anticipated sequel, Avatar 2. While he couldn't say much, the actor did meet with director James Cameron recently.

"I had dinner with him about a month ago. We spent the evening together and we talked about it. I know he's proceeding and I have no doubt that Avatar 2 is going to be great and every bit as jaw-dropping and exciting as Avatar was. As to my own relationship to it, I can't really say anything about that, at all, other than I'm just proud to be on the team. Whether I appear in Avatar 2 or Avatar 3, I always feel I'm a part of the Avatar team. I know that's a non-answer, but that's it."

I just hope it's only for flashbacks and the like. He can't be an actual involved character. Maybe his son is mad at Jake and company?

I love Stephen Lang, but to have Quaritch back would be lame IMO

I'd love to see peeks of him in the afterlife  ;D

Oh wait, that's a fic of mine >.>

but yeah, would be interesting.  Or maybe some kind of "dream voice" for Jake?  I mean, even if Q was a "bad guy" he at least had his honour in the right place as far as "taking care of his own"...he just couldn't see the forest for the...yeah, you get my meaning.

Unlikely sequel idea (have been reading about possibility of Schwarzenegger being in the next film).

The RDA realizes that the Pandoran biosphere is now 'primed' to consider any new intrusions of sawtute as hostile (as in the original Avatar scriptment). With this in mind they enlist the help of a former colleague and arch-rival of Dr. Augustine; a morally bankrupt but terrifyingly intelligent botanist/geneticist/network specialist played by Arnold Schwarzenegger. His job is to co-opt and subvert parts of the superorganism known as Eywa- not only so that mining can resume but also that the biotechnology involved in creating an artificial (and malign) version of a network like that can be understood and sold to warring nations/corporations on Earth.

The attempt is highly successful. The Na'vi are driven back by the very animals that saved the day in the original film.
Jake, seeking guidance, undergoes the the Uniltaron. In his trance like state he sees a glimpse of something deep underwater. Mo'at knows that he must travel far out into the Eastern Sea if he is to make sense of this vision.

The finale is a last ditch struggle between a weakened group of Na'vi (including Jake and Neytiri) guided by Voice Of Eywa (Grace Augustine) and aided by a mysterious and secretive clan adapted for life in the deep ocean versus the RDA and a monstrously biologically augmented geneticist commanding vast swathes of the Pandoran biosphere.
Please tell me if you see mistakes in a Na'vi post of mine. It's the only way I'll learn. :P

Earth creates Na'vi version of the standard T800 terminator. A human/T800 hybrid cyborg that looks like human Jake, is sent in to replace the human version of the real Jake and destroy the Na'vi uprising from the inside. This plan begins to go wrong when it becomes obvious that there isn't a human version of the real Jake any more.

Quaritch's replacement is Chief Master Sergeant William Candy. ;D
