I know that it is the high probability that Quaritch comes back to be the villain in Avatar2 (I hope so) but I want to know everyone's opinion on who they think should be the villain.

My choice would probably be Liam Neeson.

wait wait wait, how could Quaritch come back to life? he was shot with a poison arrow, and his mask possobly jammed up after a week or so, even if it wasnt poisoned

Probably from DNA they no doubt have. So as a clone.  I sincerely hope he doesn't return, but anyway...

I'm trying to think of an actor I'd like to see as the next villain.  What about a female villain?  That might be cool, just don't know who.

There's an entire topic about Quaritch and most of us agreed that he's very much dead. I'd almost like to see a rival clan leader or something as the next enemy. Not sure that would make sense though.

It would be interesting to see the character of Parker again. He always seemed affected by his morals in Avatar, and it would be interesting to see whether money has got the best of him.

In terms of a villain, perhaps a rival clan or a second human expedition led by either a clone of Quaritch or even the new RDA leader.

I'd like to see Parker back, but a clone of Quaritch seems like the cheap way out to me.

Quaritch coming back from the dead can only happen one way... If the human Quaritch was an AVTR!

Villain speculation: A COO who has been using the success of the AVTR program to make him/herself immortal by passing their mind into newer and younger clones.

Villain speculation: A "SPY" Living on Pandora, disguised as one of the Natives as of the last 15 years, and had everyone fooled including Grace.  Sets up a conflict between the tribes to have them wipe themselves out.

I think this one is more likely.

Theres a whole thread about Quaritch in here somewhere.

I would like to see Selfridge come back, he was one of my favorite characers. I know he couldnt be the main villian since he isnt evil enough but I could actually see him turning to the Na'vi side (if you see in the movie he starts to contemplate wheter what hes doing is right or not.)

@Txur'Itan, that first one is a cool theory. If the movie Quaritch was actualy a clone of the real Quaritch who had multiple clones that he controled with avatar tech from a safe location on Earth or the Venture Star then he could live indefinatly until his real body dies. This could explain his apparent disregard for his own life. That could be a cool plot twist but only James Cameron could get away with it without seeming cheesy (and it would still be a stretch for him).

Indeed it seems like Selfridge has some kind of remorse sense ongoing throughout the movie, but to turn to the Na'vi side.. I don't know about that. He's too much money person for this kind of decision.

I could never see Selfridge actually switching to the Na'vi side. I could see him maybe apologizing and maybe even making a public statement about what happened and how he was wrong, but I could never see him actively standing against whatever enemy the next movie will have (be it cooperate greed or something else all together.)

I think Cameron is going to give us an original villain that we haven't seen yet or introduce some other type of problem all together.

But what actor would I like to see as the next villain? You all will probably hate me for this, but Vin Diesel. I'm sorry but NOBODY is as badass as Riddick.

I doubt the Na'vi will forgive him.
A new villian is the most possible scenario.
Yea. Riddick is awesome, but I don't really want to see him as the bad guy :(

Lol. I guess I really don't either. I just don't think anybody can touch the badassness that is Riddick.

And yeah, even if Selfridge DID apologize, I HIGHLY doubt the Na'vi would forgive him. At least it would say something about his character though. Though he'll never get a Jake Sully style second chance no matter WHAT he does.

Selfridge's only reasonable course to redemption would be sacrificing himself in some way that really helped the Na'vi.  In movie terms, I just don't see him being redeemed any other way.  In novels, possibly, as you can take more time and go into more detail.

I would like to see Selfridge back in some form, though.

Yeah, then he could be with Eywa. I think there's a really good chance he's in the sequel.

Yep , if you want to match the badassness of Quaritch , Vin Diesel is def a good option.

I would prefer him as an Olo'eyktan for one of the other Na'vi clans.

You know what? That's actually a pretty good idea! I could totally see a Vin Na'vi! Somebody with skills should make a pic of him as a Na'vi!

I'd second that.
He'll be the Olo'eyktan of the Jacked clan.

Liam Neeson is usually in movies where he is the master and someone else is an apprentice, Qui-Gon in Star Wars and Ras-a-ghoul in Batman.

Although, I do agree, seeing him as a villian would be kinda cool. BUt none of the other actors were big name people before Avatar, so Idk.
