Ah, it's good music, but I'm not listening to it when I work out: rather listen to it when reading.  I listen to the album An Ocean Between Us by As I Lay Dying when I work out: Metal-core really gets my blood pumping.

And I just got a check from my relatives: if I have extra after my expenses, I'll be able to buy the books.

I cashed in some of my credit card rewards to get the survivalist guide.

LOVE that book. If you have to get one of the avatar books, definitely get this one!!

The one with all the facts about Pandora?  Yeah, I was thinking if I had to pinch pennies to get a book, but still be able to afford college stuff, this would be the one to get.

That's the one. So many great pictures and info about all the little nuances of Na'vi/Pandoran life. Lord knows I'm on a college budget too and can't afford anything, but I use a Citi card and for however much I spend I can redeem the points on Amazon. I just cashed in to get two movies and the Avatar book!

Lucky.  I literally have no credit record, so I can't get a credit card at all.  At least I have a Stafford loan out now, so that when I start paying that back, I build credit.

Anyway, I might just cancel a few lessons.  I mean, it's for a drumset audition at another university, and personally, I don't think I'll have much issue.  I started my musical career on set: I'll die on a drumset.

So, Yeah, definitely getting the book, should funds provide.  Plus I'm turning in an application to a VERY nearby Subway, and hopefully will work there.

Man, my parents were kind enough to give me a card on their account a few years back so I had their perfect credit score behind me. So thankful for that, especially now that the laws are changing and it'll be nearly impossible to get a card until after 21.

Good luck on the job!!

Thanks!  Best part is, when I went to get the application, they told me that someone there was close to quitting, leaving a spot open!

Looks like those books, a successful audition, and a new drumset (already have everything planned out as well: Battlefield drums, Diril cymbals, Gibraltar hardware :D ) will be in the future!

That's the Activist Survival Guide. On amazon it ran about 12 dollars i think. That was 3 weeks ago when i bought it. Not sure if the price changed or not. Exceptional source of information about Pandora and anything on it. I recommend it highly.
See that shadow? It's the last one you're gonna see.

Nope, I'm located in the United States (fortunate or unfortunate, it's all an opinion).

Nah, not much a fan of what they put on the radio.  It's all "Top 40," which I like NONE of.

Oh, and BTW, I have the the Activist's Survival Guide now.  Literally holding it in my hands.

oh cool how is it? I am going to search and order from amazon now....
let me know how it is really... I mean Sngä'i Tìrey-yä  did say it was good

I mean, I'm not done with it yet (not even very far), but I love the layout. Nice thing is it organized into, firstly, different categories and such (like Na'vi culture and tools, wildlife, etc.), and from there lists them in encyclopedia format.

Worth the read, and also is helpful if you are also reading through the 2007 script.

Oh, and BTW, Though ordering online is nice, it's not that hard to just get up and go to a store.  And honestly, for me, it was cheaper in the end. $12.93 or something on Amazon, plus $10 for shipping = $22.  Bought it at Books-A- Million for $19.25.  Now I have to make the dollars left stretch.

Short answer: it is awesome.

And I've not found any spelling errors yet.  And even if I do, I'm not going to harp on them: It's a 200 page book: there are going to be mistakes.  Perfect example: I have a friend who got HP and the Sorcerer's stone, and throughout the whole book, "Dumbledore" was spelled "Doombledoor"  Trust me, it could have been a LOT worse for the Activist's Guide.

Ya, it's great. When I bought it on amazon though, I bought a pack of temporary tattoos too so I could get the free shipping (totally worth it  8))

I haven't found any errors yet either, although to be completely honest I pretty much skimmed through all the really sciency sections. Gravity and geology? Not my thing.

The introduction was kind of corny though, I think they tried riding the "THIS IS AN ACTUAL DOCUMENT" pony a bit too far... worth a good laugh though!!

Still, totally worth it.

I would bet in the future, should circumstances become similar to what they are, I wouldn't be surprised if there are individuals that would make something like this real.  Heck, there are environmental activists already!

And yes, totally worth it.

Once I get more money, I think I might get the art book next.

Oooh you'll have to share how the art book is. I'm dying to look at it.

I work at a library though, so I'm just waiting for them to finish processing it so I can check it out. Buying would probably be a waste, its not in my nature to go through coffee table books more than once.

Sounds like a plan.

However, there is obviously one book that we will all get once it's out: the Na'vi dictionary/Na'vi language learning tools.

Found mine at a locals store in Entertainment.  However, I feel your pain about not having something in a local store.
