Sorry for necropost, but I thought the Avatar comics were alright. Rather short, but definitely starting something.

Valid late post is valid.  I'd like to add my agreeing opinion to this.

I picked one up and enjoyed the art.  It gave an interesting insight, but wasn't very substantial.  I hope to see more.  Certainly it points to the idea of an entire emerging comic book series.  I would totally buy them all. Especially when they get their own full size books that don't share a feature.

Yeah, I thought the art was pretty good. I would also buy the whole series. I'm keeping mine in my old cedar chest, because you never know, they may be worth something someday.

Too bad for us outside of the US  :(
I asked in my local comic book store about free comic book day but they are tied to the German publishers and had no possibilities to get to the English offers  :( :'(

Did you try eBay? I know there's some English copies there for very cheap.

EDIT: Here's one I found.

Yea I snatched the first issue for free at Free Comic Book Day. I definitely loved the artwork but the story wasn't very immersive, but then again there was only 5-6 pages; You can only do so much with so little. I could've sworn that I heard somewhere that there would be Na'vi conversations, but I may be wrong.    :-\
