I wish they weren't so expensive T-T.

If I had enough money, I would buy everything on that screen. But alas, I cannot.

the "daggers" are 18 inches long....so its more like a short sword. probably pretty close to 1:1 if your a 10 foot tall blue alien.

I've been silently hoping that the craft crowd over at places like Etsy.com start making them.  No such luck yet but I check their listings every day.  All that's been up is Trudy's Bible necklace: =tags&includes[]=title]http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=37184685&ref=sr_list_1&&ga_search_query=avatar+movie&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=&includes[]=tags&includes[]=title and Neytiri's bamboo armband: =tags&includes[]=title]http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=34734504&ref=sr_list_12&&ga_search_query=avatar+movie&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_page=&includes[]=tags&includes[]=title. :)

Depending on the christmas moolah, I'm probably going to be getting Neytiri's dagger, and I've got a friend I know that's good with leather and bones, working on making me Jake's headband from the war scenes (the one with all the teeth). :D

God this movie has stolen my life already, and now it's got my wallet. What next? :P

Let us know how the headband turns out!  I was going to try to design my own, seeing as each Na'vi have a unique headband, then I realized, I cannot draw :P

OME

i ordered my headband from noblecollection.com and with the express shipping and regular shipping it came out to 78 bux x.x ouch LOL but they told me their wearable. She was like "i dont know why you would want to wear it." I laughed and told her im getting in touch with my inner Na'Vi so i can learn the language better, she was laughing at that point too. The woman i talked to said the language was interesting, and i told her about here. lol i dont think she wanted to learn it tho >.> oh well. lol

Is it infringing on copyright to make our own versions of these things?  I suppose it could be changed up a bit-- Neytiri's necklace, especially, is really easy to make, but I'd think each Na'vi would have their own personal, distinctive items.  Perhaps just in the same general style: larger glass beads, macrame cord.  I'm sure it's okay if you make them for yourself, but if you make them to sell...

I really don't know much copyright law, but I don't want to break any.  And if people are patient enough (I have a terribly busy schedule) I'd love to help outfit the Na'vi-learning community.

If you make it for yourself then it's not illegal, only if you start selling them it becomes illegal. I don't know how well they're protected but if you make a similiar item but don't call it a "choker from avatar" etc it might be acceptable.
