There is a project of mine that has been simmering on the back burner for the past year or so and I've recently deciding to start dedicating time to this, as I wish not to burn out on my other loves. So, there is a very specific and special need, to complete this project, that only the members of this forum can actually meet.
First off, let me state that this project, although having had a year's off-time's thought put into this, is still very early in its production. This post is merely to see if anyone is interested as of this moment, and to give those whom would be interested in the future, time to prepare for the parts that I need.
So basically, I am reinvigorating the Audio Drama that I had begun back when I was with Radio Avatar. I have decided to take a huge majority of the parts to be done locally so as I can control the audio quality of what is being recorded. The only issue I have with that, is there is almost no one I know locally that can speak and pronounce Na'vi to the level that I am looking for. This is where the community comes into play.
I am looking for speakers of Na'vi, to act as either an AVTR translator or as Native Na'vi Tribe's people to fill roles in an Audio Drama. If you don't know what an audio drama is, look to things like the original broadcast of The Ward of the Worlds, or even the audio dramas of Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
The requirements I am looking for are as follows:
- Can pronounce Na'vi in an intermediate/expert level
- Has knowledge of the language itself (Understands meaning and syntax)
- Has access to a good microphone (built in mics are not acceptable)
- Has good internet access and access to Audacity recording program
- Can commit at least 1-2 hours a week on this when we get started
- Is ok dealing with a very nit picky director
- Must be at least 18 years old, or 16/17 with parents permission (stupid legal issues, and yes your parents -will- sign a waiver/agreement)
The requirements are solid requirements. No exceptions. There may be others added later, but these are the bare minimum.
So, if you think you meet that requirement, and would be interested in being apart of this project, fill out the info below, post it here in this thread, and I'll check back to see what kind of an interest we have.
(Copy the info inside the code, paste it to your response box for this thread, enter in the information within the BBcode, and it'll format to what I want it to be.)
