Great show! I liked the school part. "Hiiii teacher!" :P

Just finished listening. I really liked it! I especially loved the first part, where you talked about the first 15 minutes of the movie. You pointed out some things that I hadn't noticed before. Also, the image of Quaritch in the "These Boots are Made for Walking" video made me laugh so much I woke up my roommate.

May the odds be ever in your favor.

Just listened and man I need to change how I talk! My voice sounds bbblllleeeeaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! When my segment came on I'm like "eww....is that ME???" Blarg. I'll try to work on that for the next episode. Y'all may not think it sounds bad, but I do! I barely even recognized myself!

IMHO I didn't think the "recycled" music was bad. It certainly didn't ruin the scene for me. Although I am also not privileged enough to have the 5-disc soundtrack or the full music score so I haven't heard what was originally written for the sturmbeest hunt scene.

I do the exact same thing.  I'm sure part of it is just being overly self critical.

There's a few things I've done to make it better though.  The first is I got a better microphone w/ a good pop filter.  This allowed me to talk directly into the microphone, so it can pick up a fuller sound.  The second is that I can be a bit lazy in my pronunciation, so when I'm recording I try to over-enunciate a little.  Finally, playing around with the positioning of the microphone w/ regard to its pickup geometry.  For example if you're nose is more into the sensitive area than your mouth, you'll pick up a nasally sound.  There is resonance off many parts of your body; your nose, throat, chest, etc.  Each provides different tonal qualities to your voice.

Basically, play around with what what you have available and see what you can do.  Record yourself in several ways and listen to them, see what you like.

(For the pop filter, I've been won over by metal pop filters; they last longer than nylon, and are uncanny in their ability to redirect plosives away from the microphone.)

That's probably what's happening is my mic is too near my nose. I'll also try using my special singing mic next time. (It has a metal pop filter) Srungìri seiyi irayo :)

I've just tried it..

the result is.. now I understand why they have chosen to reuse the past music.

Using War is quite bad as contents of Episode Two have shown,

but replacing The Hunt to there.. another stranges found.

It seems a hunter dropped is good;

from the screen we can see the time difference between shots of Tsu'tey and Jake,
but the one in the music isn't long enough.
Music stops, where's the arrow? Still on Jake's hand.

One more, you probably can feel this 70-sec short piece is divided into 5 sections:
0 sec. - The first part with "lyrics" (syllables) is the introduction and you can see 2 hunting actions before the 2nd sections starts.
29 sec. - Dangerous escapes; it seems that it's impossible to make a kill.
  42 sec. - Tsu'tey appears, hope appears.
49 sec. - The first successful kill.
58 sec. - Show time of the main character.
By scenes, one should be stronger than its previous one; by music, section 2 is much more weaker than section 1.
This breaks the trend heavily and makes the piece not suitable for the scene it supposed to be used with anymore.

With reused War, falling actions appear after Jake makes his kill.
This is much more make sense, and it would be perfect if it's a piece used once only..

Of course now it's not use-once, and this is the point annoys you all.
But if you ask me to give a vote, I would say keep the way now you see is better..

My 2 cents.. is this too much?
Just want to make any comments about the soundtrack.. ngaytxoa :P

Anyway all the broadcasts are very good.
Keep it on, we are listening. :)

Ma Ikran Ahiyìk, try it again, but this time wait about 6-8 seconds before beginning 5m2a, in this way you'll find that everything lines up ;)
