1. Oel fpawnìl Oeti pìyevamrel si ngaru nìNa'vi       =   I thought I should write to you like the Na'vi people.
2. Oeyä tstxo lu:  ....                                       =   My name is: .....
3. Nga [Oe] lu [ke] hiyìk                                    =   You am/are [not] funny

5. Nga lu sevin                                               =    You are pretty
6. Oe sìlpey .....                                             =    I hope .....
7. Oe rey roPLACE                                          =    I live at PLACE
8. Oe lu sim ....                                              =   I am near  ....
9. Nga lu kawng                                             =   You are bad/evil
10. Oel lu irayo si ngaru fpi ngayä srung             =   I thank you for the sake of your help

Well, you did ask for us to pick at them.

1. You've used a passive participle when a past (or more probably a perfective) would be a lot more accurate. It is purely a coincidence that the English passive participle and preterite forms of "think" are the same, they aren't in na'vi. Fpìl is probably intransitive as well so the oe at the front should be bare.

You'll need a tsnì to connect the second clause to the first.

[edit]
you'll need a futa after the fpìl though as explained in Omängumä post below.
[/edit]

<iyev> =/= should, the closest we have for should is the possibility that a subjunctive zene could function like should although this is only a guess really, also, infixes only go in the part of the word that is the verb so the infix would go in the si.

Oe-l fp<ol>ìl futa z<iv>ene pamrel s<iv>i nga-r(u) nì-na'vi.

2. Unfortunately, like in French and Spanish, the Na'vi don't use this literal phrase like in English, instead they say that "you call to them ___".

Nga oe-r(u) syaw ____

3. hiyìk =/= funny, hiyìk = strange, in some situations they are the same but, given your English translation I doubt this is one of them. If you meant "you are strange" then it is correct, otherwise, we don't have a good phrase but this might work:

nga fra-po-r(u) lrrtoktìng

4. tick

5. tick

6. You need a tsnì after sìlpey, the "that" can be dropped in English but not Na'vi, otherwise correct.

Oe sìlpey tsnì ...

7. Correct except that unless the adposition is placed after the noun, there is a space in between and rey is better translated as to be alive, you mean kelku si, to dwell.

oe kelku si ro [place]

8. You should use tok not lu for anything involving location, also note, tok is transitive so oe needs to be ergative.

oe-l tok sim [place]

9. tick

10. lu is weird an unnecessary here. The genitive of nga is ngeyä not ngayä.

Oe irayo si nga-r(u) fpi nge-yä srung

Oe sìlpey tsnì srung soli.

how did nga turn into nge when -yä was added to it?

nga turning into ngeyä is an exception right now, there's probably other places where this happens but none that I know of. I just accept it as a rule that nga + yä = ngeyä

omängum fra'uti

That happens to po/fo too which become peyä/feyä.  And I *MOSTLY* agree with tìkawngä mungeyu on the original post.

The disagree is on fpìl, which is most definitely transitive.  (A sentence directly from Frommer: Fpìrmìl oel futa aynga natsew tsive'a fi'ut.)

So the first sentence should be...

Oel fp<ol>ìl futa *zen<ats>e pamrel s<iv>i nga-r(u) nì-na'vi.
(zenatse is the cloest we have currently to "should", but it probably is not correct.)

Ma omängum, I must have missed that email about fpìl in my recent binge on the updates board, irayo. Editing.

As for the <ats>/<iv>, is there any reason why you chose <ats> over <iv>? I may well (read am almost certainly) projecting my English thinking mind onto this but, if we think about tsun, the equivalent form must -> should as can -> could would be a conditional which we know is a function of <iv>, equally, <ats> would certainly work for zene but would it work for tsun?

I actually don't think it works for zene...  I just don't know what would.  The meaning of "oe zenatse" would be closer to "It may be that I must" (But I don't know for sure).  Similarly "oe tsatsun" would be something like "It may be that I can" (But I don't know for sure).

Zivene, perhaps, but like zenatse it feels too much like turning an infix into it's own distinct meaning.

This is an idiomatic expression in Na'vi.  Instead of nga, use fko.  Take a look in the section "8.16 Reflexives and Naming" here.

You still need to fix up the first one, the proper form there is "Oel fpolìl futa ..."
