<iv> doesn't mean hopefully, that would be probably be derived from sìlpey. <iv> can be conditional (would verb) as well as subjunctive (which is a bit harder to put your finger on because English is using it less and less, but the subjunctive implies the possibility that the event described by the verb may not be what actually has/will/is happening), it can also be an optative (which indicates that the statement is a wish, a good example would be "long live the king" (without the subjunctive it would be "long lives the king")); here, though, is none of those. Instead this is the modal use, all verbs following a modal verb (new, tsun, zene, zenke and fmi) must take a subjunctive.

Remember that mì causes lenition when it's placed in front of the noun so sauvan is actually tsauvan which splits further into tsa-uvan.

lì'ukìngit is a derived word we use on the forums, it comes from lì'u-kìng (and is in the accusative case), see if you can work it out.
