hello!

sorry beginner, i've been curious about human names that for the most part work in the navi language in terms of pronunciation/spelling, like jake's and grace's name had to be changed to translate into navi cause well, j doesn't exist in navi and i forgot why they had to change grace's. but im questioning what names in human for the most part can just be pronounced in navi the same way without changing anything.

like the only name i can think of is lokota/lakota. it has all the letters that the navi language has. can it be spelled/pronounced the same in navi or would it have to be changed?

is there any human names you know that can be spelled/pronounced the same as in the human language?

For sure it's possible although it's more difficult to find an English name because the vowels are not exactly pronounced like in Na'vi. You'll have more luck with names in other languages.

Grace's name was changed because in the Omatikaya Na'vi G is now allowed, plus you can't have a Gr-/Kr- sound and an s ending a syllable or a word so they made the minimum adjustments to make it work: Kìreysì

Without changing the spelling, even for a minor adjustment, I would say names pronounced the Spanish way like Sara, Manuel, Mateo, Maya, Emilio, Ana, Rafael, Sofia, etc. If you adherent to the reefs clans of Avatar 2 (the Metkayina, not the Omatikaya from which Neytiri and Jake come), they allow D, B and hard G sounds under certain conditions so you could also say Diego, Barbara, Fernando, etc.

Hope it helps
