I would love to come to a Discord lesson. I'm bummed I missed out this week, even if most of it was "off topic chatter." Will this be happening again this Saturday?
It should.

I plan to do it again this Saturday. This time, I have the ability to begin at a time that will work from East Europe all the way back to West US. I'm currently thinking 1500 EST.

This would mean:

Noon out West
1 PM in the mountains
2 PM Central
3 PM on the East where I'll be

8 PM in the UK
9 PM in the East in Europe.

This seems ideal. Either that or an hour before that.

The problem last week was that I was unavailable to begin before 1800 CST which meant midnight in the UK and 1AM for Europe. Not convenient.

Thoughts?

That seems like it would be the most available time for the most people, but people will have to chime in to be sure. I'm sure our European aysmuk will appreciate it!

I'm in the CST zone, which is 2pm for me. That's less likely to work for me than 6pm my time, but I can get behind a time that's more workable for everyone. Irayo for putting these on!  :D

well, if you are cool with 6 CST, then you'll be happy to know that I cannot do earlier than this for like 2/3 of the month due to work schedule. I work a 2-and-1 6-6 CST.

These times seem pretty good oer. If it is +3~4 hours to the currect time the other two weeks, It'll work well for me. :D

It would be nice if we make it regular thingy because we need it - to have regular meeting.

Thank you for the correction.

I cannot make that time regular because my work day ends 1800 CST. I can only do this earlier time every 3 weeks. I can try to reply to @mentions and stuff in there as often as I can. Everyone should feel free to log in and chat or do stufy groups at any time any day. It shouldn't have to only happen when I'm around :)

To add onto Tirea, I believe you have to register an account (just verifying your email) before you can talk, but otherwise it's pretty simple :)

I see Tsm. Wind12 has been able to join us in the Discord server. Just hasn't had a chance to check out all the channels yet

I may join everyone again on Saturday. My trip to Las Vegas to see Toruk disintegrated. Between winter storms, jury duty and a dead lion, it was just too much to try and straighten out :(

Discord will always be of limited use to me. It is not something I can use at work.

This makes me sad inside. :(

Would TS3 or Skype (requiring clients to be installed) be of more use to you, things you could use at work?

Discord has a web app for desktop browsers as well as a smartphone app, so if you are able to use the forum at work, then Discord would likely work too. :-\

I have all the above installed and usable from anywhere so... I can be on any of them but my preference is definitely Discord these days

Kaltxì ma frapo,

@'Eylan Ayfalulukanä, Im sorry to hear that you are going through all that :(

@Tìrea Aean and Tìlu, Irayo, I think I have some of yhe basics down anyway, I will try to pop in before work tomorrow. :)

Summary of today's Discord session:

Lots of voice participation this time :D

# Greetings (kaltxì, oel ngati kameie)
# Introductions and names (Oeru syaw fko [name], Fyape fko syaw ngar?)
# Conversation beginnings (Ngaru lu fpom srak?, srane ngaru tut?)
# Pronounce many words and phrases on request, many others also joined in to give it a shot
# Most difficult to pronounce Na'vi word (depends on the individual which sounds or sequences are toughest)

# On the Pronunciation of a vs. ä vs. e
# Huge Na'vi words for the lols (tireapäpeykiyevängkxeio, nìtsìzazampuvozampxezamkivomrrve)
# Some general discussion about work and weekends
# General discussion
# Some jokes cracked
# Long decently fluent Na'vi-only voice conversation between me and Wllìm about what my current job is. I struggled a bit to explain that I am a painter on a suction-cutter dredge
# Possible word for paint: 'opimpay / 'opinpay (Suggest to LEP?)
# Find ways to briefly describe jobs of some of the people listening to that spoken Na'vi conversation
