Ah, good point, ma omängum fra'uti.  You're absolutely right; i'd forgotten about those instances of livu being dropped out of Na'vi expressions.  But i'm interested to know if lu-dropping is relegated only to specific expressions, or if there are more general instances grammatically that allow for lu to be dropped (Sorry, that might be one of the more convoluted sentences i've written in a long time...).

txo nga new rivey, oehu!

That's unlikely to be a fixed expression I think, but is cannonical.

Actually I'd say "Oehu" would be VERY likely to be a regular expression.  Perhaps a colloquial way to say "Come with me".  But then, it's not livu that's being dropped, it's ziva'u.

I think all these fall into the category of colloquial expressions.

Yeah, fair point, I'm not sure what I was thinking with that.

That post is pretty much entirely wrong, I blame early morning posts.  :D

Why not just start the new post anyway?

I'll be happy to translate, but given the way that most translations tend to work around here with lots of people chipping in to greater or lesser extents, I think it would be better to credit the community as a whole rather than specific members.
