That one day soon we will hear Na'vi spoken in the streets. (well, maybe during Avatar conventions, but we gotta start somewhere)  ::)

But I was thinking about how there is a "talk like a pirate day" and thought, why not "Talk like a Na'vi day"? Has anyone already thought of this? If so I don't want to reinvent the wheel. But if not, I wonder what the best date would be...

Maybe sometime around Earth Day, or Memorial Day. We could make it a dual-planet event!

Pirate english is more like "yarr"s and no verb tenses in english. Na'vi is a language on its own, thus it's not expectable to have everyone (at leats many) to speak it for a day.

This is very true, the nature of it would be different; it would mainly be an excuse for those who speak Na'vi to indulge without qualms. Maybe it was a silly idea after all. But then again, if something like that were to eventually raise awareness enough that ordinary folk begin to mimic sounds like "Kaltxi", "Eywa ngahu", "Kiyevame" or "Irayo", I'd call that a win.
