Maybe. I haven't looked up the actual term (I probably ought to), but I would infer the process of making something syllabic from "syllabification" whereas what I meant to imply was the property of it being syllabic or not (although syllabification could reasonably (and probably correctly) be used there too). I dunno, I like my made-up word.
