Does this make sense? They are my little "viperwolves" - or should a navi phonetic approximation of the alien word "dog" be used?

mefoti lu oeyä menantangsyip

mefoti lu oeyä menantangsyip

Take care with the diminutive ending — it's -tsyìp.  So, menantangtsyìp.

Also, since they are the subject of the intransitive verb lu, the pronoun should be just mefo — not with the patientive ending -t(i).  So:

  mefo lu oeyä menantangtsyìp

Make sense?

Ah, mefoti didn't look quite right, thought it needed the -ti but wasn't sure - thanks for clearing that up!

Now that you mention it, I knew it was -tsyip, but I somehow remembered seeing it as -syip - in any case, the correction is helpful.

Irayo, tslolam!

Now that you mention it, I knew it was -tsyip,

It's not -tsyip, it's -tsyìp, the two would be pronounced differently, the first rhymes with beep and the second with drip.

Ah, indeed - thanks for the reinforcement. I sometimes pay too little attention to those rather important accents. (which is a perfect example of why I'm spending time in the beginner's forum where I belong...)
