Na'vi Worksheets
« on: January 01, 2010, 11:04:18 am »
Note from the Management: These work sheets are outdated and slightly inaccurate.

Here are some .pdf worksheets that I made. Some worksheets use words from other ones, so its best to do them in this order:

Pronouns Chart --> Pronouns and Recipients --> Verbs 1 --> Prepositions and Places --> Time

Irayo nawm Na'vatar,
(Thank you noble _____)

With all due respect, I submit this idea. I have renamed your files on my computer, so that I now KNOW which files belong together, and which order I should study them in. Your original posts had left me reliant on remembering the order they were on your site, and having to come back and reread the messages. Please consider this:

My renaming was a simple numerical assignment, followed by an "a" for the answer pdfs. Now, no matter what the viewing style is (thumbnails, icons, list, details) your students can simply "sort files by name" and see what they need to do, and in what order. In this way, any student can follow your teachings without getting confused or frustrated. You might consider renaming th files you have available for download.

Just a thought I offer ngenga.
(you, in an honorific form--a term of respect)

Thanks for the feedback, Dustywhite. I too have renamed the files on my computer, and now I'm re-uploading them with the new names.

I feel as if I am entering a turn, from where I was hopelessly struggling with Na'vi, and starting to absorb the words. From wrestling with those black doggies to bonding with them: just one or two strands so far, but Oe sngä’i {to} kame set (I begin {???} see now)

hmmm.... I need help with grammar.

Okay, that's it... the world is ending. When I am correcting someone's grammar, the end is nigh. I just yelled (politely) about trying to force newbies to learn grammar instead of words. I am ashamed of myself for being a grammar nazi.

hmmm.... I need help with grammar.

Subordinate clauses are still a bit of an unknown at the moment but as far as we know, I think that is correct. It might be better with an imperfective infix <er> in sngä'i to say that it is continuing or I am beginning to see now (slightly closer to what I think you intended).

Looking at these worksheets they certainly are good but the pronouns and recipients one bugs me a little as it mixes transitive and intransitive verbs without distinction, might it be better to first do some intransitive (6,7,14,22) and then explain about the suffices, transitivity, do some of the others and then do a mixed section?
