Kaltxì!

I thought some of you might be interested in reading this media-release that UBC did about my research study.  A reminder that you have until July 31st to fill in the survey if you haven't already.

That is TOTALLY awesome. :) Thank you so much for posting the article link! :D I find it truly amazing and positive for our community.
I didn't know Karyu Pawl was aware of the study and supported it, it's very nice! :o Also, I just can't express how great it is that they included a short text nìNa'vi from Prrton! :D

Fì'u leiu txantsan pxe sute a nerume lì'fya leNa'vi. Irayo si ngaru nìmun, ma Christine.

:) :)

I agree. But I am looking at thae above sentence and cannot figure out why pxe is in there. The only use of pxe I know of is as the trial prefix, and I don't know of anything that would inflect to pxe. I think you wanted fpì there. Or as usual, am I missing something obvious.  :-[

Amazing to see that it gains this much attention! :)
And that Karyu Pawl supports it.

I was also wondering whether one can deduce the number of speakers from this survey once it has been analysed. It still bothers me a bit to see this "—" on the Wiki behind "total speakers" :P

Are you suggesting that we take the number of people who participated to the survey* to estimate the amount of Na'vi speakers? :) Or did you mean something else?

Payoang

Fantastic article! I've publicized it a bit here.

I am proud to be a part of the 120 that responded in the first month  ;D

Jake: How will I know if she chooses me?
Neytiri: She will try to kill you.
Jake: Outstanding. *takes out an ikran-catcher and walks through hometree looking for women*

No, I was thinking of those people who say that they are at least intermediate in the language and take that number. I know this might be a bit self-aggrandising but as far as I understood it, they didn't do it otherwise with Klingon . . .

Oh right, okay! :) Makes sense. :D

Fì'u leiu txantsana fmawn nìngay.

While my thought and opinions are already counted as one of the 120+ brave :D, i am very curious about the results.
Especially when i compare this surprisingly low number with total count of registered people here on forum.

I'm afraid not, as I (at least) can't be counted as a speaker. I'm writer only (well, reader too) ;D

Well... Technically speaking, when you are writing, you are speaking through Internet. :D And Na'vi is spoken language, and when you are writing in spoken language, you are speaking. Aren't you? :D
