I made this to help myself memorize some of the Na'vi words, but I figured you guys could also find it helpful.

You can find it here: http://www.canopyart.net/Na'vi/Na'vi-crossword.pdf

These are taken straight from the dictionary, so there shouldn't be any mistakes.

If you'd like, I can make more, and also make some reverse ones (where you fill in the definition, not the word)!

This will help me greatly.  :) Irayo.  :D

And I would appreciate more of them to do. I find it difficult to learn the language without a computer at home. With the puzzles I can take them home and practice.  ;D

Great idea!

I actually tried taking it and plugging it into an online crossword puzzle game, but I found none that liked Na'vi.  They either didn't think that ' should be a valid character (Stripping it out of words) or the solver made it impossible to enter anything you don't have a key for on your keyboard.

I did find one that had a decent puzzle generator based off a dictionary of words that it could choose from & the solver is java based & open source, so adding something in like substituting ` and : for ì and ä respectively.

I used a pretty old, but reliable program called puzzlemaker. Here's the link: http://puzzlemaker.discoveryeducation.com/

Srane, I found a few suitable to work with the Na'vi word list.  I'm just trying to find one that can generate printable puzzles as well as online solving.

Yeah, that's the only problem is being able to solve it on your computer.

That's really cool. This helps a lot. Irayo. :D

If you print it out it's a lot easier to figure out.

When I did it, it was about a week after I made it, I missed only three words.

I feel accomplished.

If I can get the java creator working, I may fill it's dictionary with all the words, then an additional dictionary which includes infixes, suffixes, etc, for advanced solving.  It'll pick words from the dictionary to best fill the grid, based off a basic layout you give it and rules for filling (Most links, most words, or a third I forget what it was)

If I can get a substantial enough list, I could even fairly easily start doing a daily (Or close to it) Na'vi crossword.

Sounds cool. We should do a learnna'vi newsletter with a daily crossword. Or some other puzzle.

It might have a few typos. . . I'm sorry if there are. If I find any I'll fix it later. ;D

You can't link to it :P It doesn't work if you do it that way.

I have an idea, sometimes in the news paper they have like a "word jumble"type thing, it splits a word into 3 or 4 peices of 2 letters, and you mix the sections (not the letters themselves) around. it would be alot easier to make than a crossword. Ill make one, ill try and put up later today.

You mean like anagrams, that'd be great. If you do it that way it will probably be easier for beginners aswell.

And here is my humble entry into the world of Na'vi crossword puzzles.  This was automatically generated based on the basic vocabulary.  I still need to go and add some of the newer words.  However I did not pick any of the words, so I take no responsibility for the usefulness/ease/or difficulty.

I haven't had a chance to get the Java online solver working in a Na'vi friendly manner, so for now it's purely a PDF.
