Txonä Tìranyu

what does a Nav'i name need?, how would i make one?, any language rules or such on names?
:-\

Tuteyä amuiä 'itan

there is a whole thread here http://forum.learnnavi.org/beginners/na%27vi-names/ that talks about Na'vi names

Txonä Unil Stä'nìyu Rolyusì

Hmm, yes, but that thread has over a thousand responses (which would make it hard to find specific info) and hasn't been posted in for nearly 2 months.

When I make a Na'vi name, I like to have it relate to the person somehow. Take my name for example: Txonä Te Unil Stä'nìyu Rolyusì. It means Singer and Dream Catcher of the Night. I have this name because I like singing, dreaming and the night time. The "Te" in there is just a particle used in full names. If you want, you can message me some of your interests and I'll translate them into a name for you :)

Wow thanks all for the great help and info, I am particularly fond of night time,, ive spent 2 months or so staying up all night and sleeping all day in the past. the sounds and beauty of the night are my favorite part, watching the clouds roll over the moon with the stars right beside it tops it all.

Hmm, ok I could do something like "Txon Tìranyu" or "Tute Txonä" or perhaps something like "Fìwopx/Sanhì a mì Saw" Any of those sounds good?

Hm, well "letxon" isn't a cannonized word tho, I try to only use words that are cannon. Could "Txon a Tìranyu" work?

Why not just Txonä Tìranyu? ::)
(or it's too close to yours...)

A "name" full of those linking parts sounds not so good.. (a, mì+, le- etc.)

adposition mì+ causes lenition (if stands before noun). All adpositions marked with + at the end causes lenitions, these are all:
ro+, mì+, wä+, sre+, lisre+, pxisre+, hmmm..... fpi+, ìlä+

I thank you.

or we should say .. irayo itself can be a noun also, not interjection only. :)
