I think this came up somewhere else but I'll do my best to act as Tsu'tey with one of the odd things I definitely remember thrown in.

ngar tawtutel fpole' 'upxaret
The sky people have sent us a message

a fo tsun mivunge fra'ut a new
that they can take whatever they want

ulte kawtu tsun ftivang fot
and no-one can stop them

slä ayoengìl for 'upxaret fpaye'
but we will send them a message

kämakto na hufwe nìwin
ride out as fast as the wind can carry you (not sure about na hufwe like this) edit: I was right not be sure, it should be nìwin AFAIK

layolo'ur peng ziva'u
tell the other clans to come

fot peng futa toruk makto for syaw
tell them that toruk makto calls to them

tswon oehu ma smukan sì smuke
fly with me brothers and sisters

tswon!
fly

ulte ayoengìl tatuter wayìntxu futa fìtsenge
and we will show the sky people that this

ayoengä!
this is our land (Tsu'tey only says ayoengä which potentially shows that genitives can be pronomial and is a good example of vebal ellipsis)

Tsu'tey doesn't actually say that. Their's a lot of differences. ;)

I knew I wasn't saying exactly what Tsu'try says, the only thing I remember that he says was the rather strange line at the end.

Other than that, it's my bash at coming up with Tsu'teyä lines (they should be grammatically correct and be understandable, even if not the ones Frommer used).

I think that is very good work Tìkawngä mungeyu. And consistent with what is understood about the language.

Although, I think most would like a more verbatim reference the way Tsu'Tey spoke for comparison.  I don't know how easy that will be to provide without illegitimate sources, or aurally analyzing the DVD when it is released.

A verbatim copy would certainly be more useful.

Unfortunately I've only seen the film twice so I haven't had much of a chance to memorise bits, if I see it again I'll make sure to take notes.

The last word he says I think is actually the contracted "awngeyä" - though I don't see it standing alone, I see it as a continuation of the previous "fìtsenge".

it's definitely "-eyä" at the end:) in addition, i think that neytiri yells it after tsu'tey, but of this i am not hundred percent sure.

First off, I think that this is a great topic and great work so far!

Second, here is what I think is an accurate quotation of Jake's speech (at least this is the most accurate that I can come up with):

With your permission, I will speak now.  You would honor me by translating.

The Sky People have sent us a message
that they can take whatever they want
and no one can stop them.
But we will send them a message.
You ride out as fast as the wind can carry you.
You tell the other clans to come.
You tell them Toruk Makto calls to them.
   You fly now, with me.
   My brothers!
   Sisters!
And we will show the Sky People
that they cannot take whatever they want.
   And that this . . .
   This is our land!

Finally, I came across this clip on YouTube:which might be helpful.

I'm sorry that I can't add to the Na'vi translation . . .

A couple of weeks ago I found a link to a PDF of the script, and down loaded it to disc, I can't now find that link, but here is page 122 copy and pasted...

"MMO’AT stops the chant.  She crosses to Jake and kneels with
him, touching his shoulder.
MO’AT
Her wounds were too great, there was not
enough time.  She is with Eywa now.
NEYTIRI removes Grace’s mask and gently closes her eyes.
Jake stands slowly, barely holding it together.
NEYTIRI comes to him and he sees the despair and hope
conflicting on her face --
-- and he raises his head.  TURNS to face TSU’TEY and the
CROWD.
JAKE
With your permission, I will Speak now.
You would honor me by translating.
Tsu’tey gestures assent, and they face the clan together.
JAKE SPEAKS, the pain of Grace’s death in the passion and
fury of his voice. Tsu’tey TRANSLATES beside him.
JAKE
The Sky People have sent a message that
they can take whatever they want, and no
one can stop them.  But we will send them
a message. Ride out, as fast as the wind
can carry you, tell the other clans to
come. Tell them Toruk Macto calls to
them. Fly now with me brothers and
sisters! Fly! And we will show the Sky
People that this is our land!

TSU’TEY finishes with a bloodcurdling war-cry, and the entire
CLAN responds, their shouts echoing across the forest.
JAKE takes Neytiri’s hand and runs to the leonopteryx.  He
vaults onto its back and pulls her up behind him.
THE HUNTERS run to their banshees, mounting quickly.  Jake’s
leonopteryx rises on mighty wings into the night sky.  With a
thunder of wings, the banshees take off after it.
LONG LENS -- POLYPHEMUS. Across its face, the banshees rise
like a swarm of bats.  Groups of riders peel off in different
directions.
CUT TO: "

If it helps.
(Emphasis added by Archaic)
And yes there are differences between this script and the final cut.

I listened to the youtube thing, took some notes.  I can not make out a ton of stuff.

1. ngar sawtute fpole' 'upxaret 00:27
The sky people have sent us a message

--- (Oeri/fra'ut sa' lì'u/nì'u? -> tsun mivunge)  00:36

2. a fo tsun mivunge fra'ut a new
that they can take whatever they want

3. ulte kawtu tsun ftivang fot
and no-one can stop them

4. slä ayoengìl for 'upxaret fpaye' XXXX 00:42
but we will send them a message

5. kämakto nìwin -> ayngati spi _ale.o_pel_ 00:49
ride out as fast as the wind can carry you (not sure about na hufwe like this) edit: I was right not be sure, it should be nìwin AFAIK

6. layolo'ur peng ziva'u  00:54
tell the other clans to come

7. fot oer peng si futa/('aw) Toruk Makto for syaw
tell them that toruk makto calls to them

8. tswayon set oehu -> ma tsmukan -> ma tsmuke 01:07
fly with me brothers and sisters

9. tswon!
fly

10. sawtute XXXX -> XXXX kehe sivi 01:13
and we will show the sky people that they can not take whatever they want

11. ulte ayoengìl tatuter wayìntxu futa -> fìtsenge 01:16
and that this

12. ayoengä!/awengä!
this is our land (Tsu'tey only says ayoengä which potentially shows that genitives can be pronomial and is a good example of vebal ellipsis)

okay, i watched the movie with pen and paper and i got this:

the skypeople have sent us a message
that they can take whatever they want
and no one can stop them
but we will send them a message
you ride out as fast as the wing can carry you
you tell the other clans to come
you tell them toruk makto calls to them
you fly now with me
my brothers
sisters
and we will show the skypeople
that they cannot take whatever they want
and that this
this is our land

as for the na'vi, i am not good enough to make real-time transcription, all i can say is that tsu'tey's translation is pretty much free and colloquial - dropped nouns, pronouns, basically all that he thaught was escessive...

what i did remember was this:

the skypeople have sent us a message - lesawtuter 'upxare - it is one hundred percent lesawtute, "r" or "rr" is crystal clear, and 'upxare is self explicable. this is odd, as it is not lesawtutea but lesawtuter or something very similar at least, either way this is strange construct, at least to me.

that they can take whatever they want - i couldn't make any sense of this as it sounded like "oeri tsa neu" or "oeri saleu". i am trying to squeeze in na'vi words, but purely sound-wise it sounded something like
"oeri sat leu" or "oeri sa' leu"...all in all, it was a VERY short phrase, probably an idiom.

and then i pretty much lost it:) and i can say that tsu'tey's translation was very much shorter than jake's speech

as for "fìtsenge ayoengä", tsu'tey definitely finishes the speech with the "-ngeyä" or "-ngeya", not "-ngä"

edit:
i am stupid!:)
lesawtuter 'upxare could easily be "lu sawtuter 'upxare" which makes perfect sense:)

yes, that makes perfect sense!:)

but i am still under strong impression that there is a "r" or "rr" between skypeople and message...maybe "sawtute" is topicalised?
