Hello Everyone!, I am currently reading over some of the articles you all have posted on this wonderful sight. Though I have a few questions. First off I noticed in the Grammer cheat sheet something referenced as a Diphthong, Anyone care to explain what that is? Ive printed off the aplhabet, grammer cheat sheet, crash course (which I found very very helpful), and an English/Navi dictionary. I plan to printoff Na'Vi in a Nutshell as soon as I get some more ink for my printer. But I also heard that 100-page activity book is awesome aswell. well thanks guys! I`m really excited to become a part of your awesome community!!!  :)

A dipthong is where one vowel gets "merged" with another vowel. In Na'vi, ay (pronounced like "eye"), ey (pronounced like the "ay" in "pay"), aw (pronounced like the "ow" in "tower"), and ew (this one isn't in English, but if you get "Oasis", swap the first two vowels around and then try merging them together like in the other dipthongs, you can usually get it. Alternatively, you can try to say "hey-o" quickly) are the dipthongs - all other vowel combinations are pronounced distinctly (with the exception of "oe" sometimes - see Na'vi in a Nutshell for more on this). That's all there is to it!

Kaltxì, ma Oeyä Palulukan. Zola'u nìprrte'. :)

I think Muzer summed that up pretty well. Just figured I'd post to see if you have any more questions. Also, don't print off the dictionary with each new edit - the dude who does it updates it way too much, and he wouldn't want you to waste ink. :)

Many thanks you guys! :D

Kaltxi! And good luck learning. Sounds like you are off to the right start. You'll want to switch around between the tools given here a lot, and keep them up to date. There is no formal way (yet) to learn Na`vi, so work out a way that works best for you.

Also wanted to comment on your interesting name choice oeyä palulukan, which I think means 'my palulukan'. It is kind of opposite of my name `eylan ayfalulukanä, which is literally 'palulukans'(plural intended) friend'.

Kaltxì! I noticed a few posts down that someone said there is no formal way to learn Na'vi yet, and I just wanted to say that there is. It is called Project NgayNume. We will most likely be accepting new students after the re-release but if you want to check it out ahead of time this is the link: http://forum.learnnavi.org/project-ngaynume/
