Kaltxì! I was wondering if there was a method by which I could do some basic conversation with others (i.e. similar to instant message), so that I can practice basic phrases and words?

Irayo :)

Plumps

The TeamSpeak or IRC Channel is probably best for this kind of practice conversation. The well-known problem is then when somebody will be online when you are in your time zone ;)

There's also this, although it's not instant. Beginner Chat Thread  All are welcome! :)

That should be "Irayo ma mesmuk." ;)  I'm not a brother. :P

Good try, though! :-*

Just to complete this: ma is vocative. English language doesn't have this (expect words/expressions like 'my dear' etc. from some centuries ago). You would say "Thanks (you two) silbings!", but in Na'vi you say this as "Irayo ma mesmuk!" [lit.: "Thanks, oh (you two) silbings"] also it sounds more polite. ;)
