So it'd seam then that there's a couple ways to say this....

Yolom nantangìl sänume puk oeyä

or

Yolom nantangìl numusea puk oeyä

Is that about right in translation? If I have the distinction between the two down, numusea puk sounds more like what I'd call a 'text book' ie the stuff that has the info and so on in. And sänume puk more like a 'work book' where I'd work through the exercises and do my own work in?

I suppose next stage is to try and get a poem or something down.

Different prefixes, infixes and suffixes seem to pop up that aren't in the nutshell so is there a comprehensive list that gets updated when new ones are found?
A socially awkward and linguistically challenged sci-fi geek having a go at learning a fictional language... should be fun.

Level: Right at the start basic beginner.

Yolom nantangìl sänume pukit oeyä

Fì'ut nulnew oel, although I should note that the location of sänumeyä in the sentence can make things look a bit ambiguous....

puk anusume would be a learning book, i.e. a book that learns.  You were more precisely opting for tìnusumeyä puk, but I'm not sure that's allowable....

I see what you are saying. sänume works so much better (plus I put the infix in the wrong spot  :( ).

Since tìnusume is effectively a noun, can you add case markers to it? If so, tìnusumeyä puk works. An elegant solution, if valid.
