Trying to find a name for my snake...
« on: January 30, 2011, 11:48:33 pm »
And I want it to be in Na'vi! Here are a few of the ideas I have come up with, but I know next to nothing about the language seriously so I'm not sure if, in name form, these would be spelled out like this or not...

Somtilor (hot beauty)
Mawey (calm)
Ta'lengtun (red skin)
Tanhi (bioluminescent freckle)
Keakinam (no-legs)

The snake is female, but an ambiguous name would also work for her if anyone else has any additional suggestions? So far I have not seen any word in Na'vi meaning 'snake' or 'reptile' or even 'creeping thing' so I don't know what else to go with... Any help?

few corrections:
it should be: Tanhì, not Tanhi  ;)
                  Somtìlor not Somtilor
Kea Kinam (this would be gramatically correct, but this is for a name so you can say Keakinam too ;))

I love Somìltor the best, and here is one more suggestion: Fkewa Ioang (Mighty animal)

I did notice that special 'i' looking symbol, and wasn't sure if that was the font or something to be pronounced differently. Thanks, I actually like that sound even better! :D

How about kxetseioang or kxetseswirä? Since a snake kind of looks like a tail :P
