I have seen "srak" at the beginning and the end of a sentence.  Does it make a difference where you put it?

No, the meaning is the same, but if you want to use it in the beginning of a sentence use srake.

You don't have to make it "srake" at the beginning of a sentence, "srak" works as well.  To ease the work on your tongue when spoken, it's usually easier if you put the extra vowel in when the next word starts with a consonant....  But it is not a requirement, you are welcome to use srak at the start of a sentence any time, and srake at the end.
