Is this sentence correct?

Rä'ä t<iv>ìng tsa-t poan-ur, talun tsa ke lu poanä 'u!
Do not give-SUBJ it-ACC him-DAT, because it not be him-GEN thing!
Do not give it to him, it's not his!

The thing I'm wondering about is the poanä 'u part. Would that be the correct way to say "his"?

Another question: The reason I'm asking this is because I'm translating a song, and I need a way to say "I'm not yours". (In this case it would probably have tute instead of 'u, but that's not important.) But I don't have enough syllables to do so, and just having ke lu ngeyä works perfectly. Would people be able to figure out what it means through context here?

Truthfully, don't know.  But we do have an example of "Na'viyä luyu hapxì" so it seems in a copulative use it MIGHT be possible to split the genitive from the possessed object.

But...  Remember sometimes the meaning gets lost in direct translations like that.  The Na'vi may not see partners as being "mine" and "yours" like that.

Actually, based on the construction for "to have", that makes perfect sense. And it fits with the beat. (Well, as long as you pronounce Oe like it is in Oel, but I'm assuming this is acceptable in a song if its necessary to fit the beat.) Irayo!

Yes that is correct.  tsa'u, tsaw, tsat, tsal, etc.  Never just "tsa" on its own.
