Quote from: Tstewa Ikrantsyìp on December 30, 2014, 08:58:43 AM
A haunting Pandora

Children, mothers, hunters
Voices held within our mother

Open skies, unending oceans
Fauna large and small, free roaming

Dreams of wings, both red and blue.
Of soaring skies, and tribes un-ruled.

Tsahik to interpret Eywa's will
Clan leader, who guards the tribes survival

A wish, a dream, a yearning, I strive
A place among the Na'vi tribes

the fear, the lonely dark of forests
when one has no tribe in which to stay with

The beauty of a million jewels
Symbolised by all aplenty
On the wild-hearted planes of Pandora
A box of dreams which continues to haunt me.

My dreams of tribes, of plants, of animals
Roaming free, of fear or hurt
Life goes on for all beating hearts
Safe from danger of war and scars.

My wish is this, your world stay free
Your tribes stay safe
And continue happily
The viper-wolves all raise their young
While younger ikrans, soar beneath their sun.

The world you protect, from hurt and pain
Stay safe among the stars and plains
Of an endless universe
Yet to be explored

I wish you happiness
Eywa with you
Forevermore

I tried to translates this poem, and I must admit it wasn't easy. I'd even say it was difficult, but result probably is not so bad. Of course somewhere meaning can be not exactly as in original - but we are limited in vocabulary and poetry is generally not easy for translation. So, enjoy it as it is...

ok so I missed the seven day deadline for last poem and instead of updating late, I thought i'll wait till the next poem deadline and add 2 poems.

here is the first one.

She is Mother

In times of need, her grace doth show
In times of pain, her mercy's known.
In times of fear, her strength, resolved
In times of gladness, her mothers tone.

Scolding like a mother
Loving like a sister, brother.
Gentle like grandparents touch
Possessive, like a fathers clutch.

Lifting warmth as summers breeze
Softly as dawn on the calmest seas.
Never forgotten, never ignored
Wherever, whenever, Eywa sees all.

kaltxi ma frapo, ma soaia

I first off want to say thank-you for all the support not just on this post but all my others. it means the world to me.
the second thing I want to say is that I was supposed to add a second poem with the first one 6 days ago, but I myself, thought it was crap, so I ended up scrapping it and deleting all traces of it, despite hearing in a very terminator like voice 'I'll be back' I wouldn't be surprised if I find it at some later stage and ill be courageous enough to fix it and give it a second try.
as it is, im going to try get back into the 7 day pattern.

here we go, this pattern is called 'Rhythm of Pandora'
warning, next poem im going for is kind of depressing.

Rhythm Of Pandora
[/i][/u][/size][/b]
The steady beat of tribal drums
The power coursing through your veins
Feel the peoples pounding feet
Be cleansed by crisp
Pandoran rains

Bonds are forged through blood and war
The children mourn while mates all weep
Bodies litter forest floors
While nightmares haunt
Through-out your sleep

Feel their blood course through your veins
Feel their hands upon your skin
Feel the paint that covers you
Converting you to Na'vi kin

Tsa'heylu sears up through your nerves
Tingles cover tender skin
Uncovered flesh is host to cold
While
Souls rage with fire, deep within

The pound of hooves
The swish of wings
Keeping balance for all
Both large and small beings

Feel the thrum of the forest
As it slowly awakens
Feel it all come alive
Be tempted as it beckons

so.... yeah. if you liked it feel free to comment, I love feedback.

my mums fiancé, his brother died a few days ago.
so I decided to write a poem that focusses on when we lose our loved ones, and how we should not mourn their loss, but rather celebrate their life.
so here we go. feel free to give your opinions, I love feed back.

All is borrowed

Energy borrowed from the forest around
Where we come from, we return
Into the ground
Time borrowed from our world
A symbol of love
Borrowed strength from our mother
High above.
What we take, we will return
When it is our time
And when we leave here, to return
We hear the families cry.
We all know, we've all heard
No-one truly leaves
It's a freedom given to us
Not the pain we believe.
We are one with world
And one with her
When we leave this place
All we do is return
It may seem unfair
No choice to decide
Yet be glad, we'll be found
At our mothers side.

so uh, tell me what you think....

Well, idea at the beginning of the post is very nice and I think it is worth of following. And poem is also great, I think it would fit into Avatar in scene, where dead Na'vi is being burried and Jake speaks about borrowed energy, which must be returned.
I also think it should be too hard to translate it into Na'vi, putting to my todo-list

Oh yes!

The only problematic word is ''freedom'' which doesn't exist in Na'vi.

its hard to explain what the inspiration for this poem was so im being a wimp and I'm not even trying...
hope you enjoy and give me your opinions.
it's called "You cannot fill a cup" from the scene with Mo'at the interpreter of Eywa's will, and Jake.

"You cannot fill a cup –"

Don't look at me and smile with those eyes so grim
Don't tell me that we'll be ok when I know within
That this is the beginning of a war we'll not win
Like a child, you'll not learn, if you simply won't listen.

Don't hold out a hand of peace, with your fingers crossed
Don't preach to me of love and yet not trust
Don't tell me we are liars and then break your word
Don't apologise in humility, you still have not learned

Don't tell me we are safe with your weapons up
Don't tell me you are friends and then kill our pups
Don't tell me we are family, yet shed our blood
Don't help me from the water, when you started the flood.

Why would you smile at me with your hate within?
Why would you comfort with your lies so grim
Why begin the war, yet have nothing to win
Why say you will learn than simply won't listen?

Why with one hand offer peace with fingers locked
Why preach of love and hope with your broken trust
Why accuse us of your lies and your broken word
Why apologise when you know, you've still not learned

Why claim the safety of your guns than aim them at us
Why rescue us from drowning when you own the flood
Why claim the bond of friendship, than break our skin
Why shed our blood in anger, when you called us 'kin'

You cannot fill a cup which is already full
You cannot teach the student who remains the fool
You cannot teach to see, to man still blind
You cannot teach the ways, to s stubborn mind.

also I got really bored and decided to make a PDF of my poems. I don't know if anyone is interested, but yeah... so uh it's at the bottom of this post in case anyone wants it. :)

the next poem.
hope you like.
don't forget to tell me what you think.

We know no fear

Not the roar of a Thanator
Or a dire-horse stampede
Nor packs of viper-wolves
Or the banshee's scream

The Omaticaya clan
Full of strength and pride
You think when the aliens come
That we'd hide?

Walk through our forest
And feel our eyes
With our arrows knocked
We take to the skies

We are hunters fierce
And hunters strong
Here on Pandora
This is where we belong.

Quotedon't forget to tell me what you think.
I have no comment for "You cannot fill a cup –" . I would see it as a song.
As for We know no fear, there's only a lack of rhymes and the title could fit as the first line of your text. It's ok. :)

hey everyone, or whoever reads this.
I just wrote a new poem. and I know its late, I apologise. but I hope it makes up for it.
:) hope you enjoy  it's called "a new hope"

A new hope

Feel the thrum of the forest as we bury our loved
Feel the tears from our mother up above
Feel the family that returns after battles lost or won
Feel the hope, still surrounding everyone.

Feel the love as their energy returns to the ground
Feel the peace as their spirits linger around
Feel compassion from the forest, and all within
Feel the sun rise above and the new morning begins.

Feel the strength from the trees and the animals both
Feel the empathy and know you'll not cope alone
Feel the heart in your chest and the world in sync
Feel the beauty both within and wherever you see

Feel the hand of a friend and the sense of care
Feel the home where you've grown, and know you belong there
Feel the break in the storm and see the sun
Feel the wind slow and stop and know a new time has come

Feel a new hope and be filled with awe
Feel the pain and acknowledge but grieve no more
Feel the past and the present and see the future bright
Feel the change and the chance to make things right.

so uh yeah. opinions?

hey everyone. A new poem. called "around the river bend"

Around the river bend

You may feel bereft and lonely
Anger coursing through you veins

Just know that silver lines the clouds
The good times will replce the strains

Despite the hurt, despite the tears
Despite the people you have lost

Behind you stands your friends and family
Who help you bear the cost

With no more time, so much to do
You start to feel the stress.

Dig in your heels
Roll up your sleeves
You're bound to pass the test

Good times will come
As will the bad
We together will survive

I know it's hard
I know you hurt
But we'll be ok,
Our Na'vi tribe
