Tstewa Ikrantsyìp

Hey everyone.
as we probably all know, there was a writing contest on quite recently, and it inspired me to restart my story writing, and songs and poems
I wrote a poem for the competition, but I'm a little bit of a wimp, so instead of adding my original poem like I planned, I will add some recent poems which I've created that revolve around Pandora, the Na'vi, the culture, the language and a lot of other things related with this beautiful life.
I intend to add a new poem each week. I hope you enjoy, if anyone reads it.

this is one of my first poems.
........................

u]A haunting Pandora

Children, mothers, hunters
Voices held within our mother

Open skies, unending oceans
Fauna large and small, free roaming

Dreams of wings, both red and blue.
Of soaring skies, and tribes un-ruled.

Tsahik to interpret Eywa's will
Clan leader, who guards the tribes survival

A wish, a dream, a yearning, I strive
A place among the Na'vi tribes

the fear, the lonely dark of forests
when one has no tribe in which to stay with

The beauty of a million jewels
Symbolised by all aplenty
On the wild-hearted planes of Pandora
A box of dreams which continues to haunt me.

My dreams of tribes, of plants, of animals
Roaming free, of fear or hurt
Life goes on for all beating hearts
Safe from danger of war and scars.

My wish is this, your world stay free
Your tribes stay safe
And continue happily
The viper-wolves all raise their young
While younger ikrans, soar beneath their sun.

The world you protect, from hurt and pain
Stay safe among the stars and plains
Of an endless universe
Yet to be explored

I wish you happiness
Eywa with you
Forevermore

Irayo, though your poetry is amazing. I'm just going to add the four or five poems I've already written and then just add weekly from here on out.
My next poem

...

Don't give up

If wars rage, guns fire
Ikrans attack
Keep trying, keep speaking
Don't look back.
You try so hard to finish the race
To learn the language and earn your place
The community filled with voices aplenty
Of friends and acquaintances and an accepting family
The vowels, the verbs, the consonants
The word order in which we all dance with
Don't forget the little stops in which we find in the word "uh'oh"
The puzzles, the booklets, the posts galore,
The forum grows still yet larger more.
Find your way among the areas
Find the theme in which you belong in
Fanfiction, or literature, beginner or not
This family we belong to will never stop.
So don't give up
Find a friend or a teacher
Learn more of the language
Become an achiever
Feel free to say hi
Forget your fears
The place you belong
In this tribe
Is here

Let us save them together

Travel years into the future
And what do you see?
I see forests, and desserts and life-forms aplenty

I see beauty and danger
Multi-coloured and pretty
Lizards and horses and wolves and the banshees

I see tribes and the culture
The children are learning
Eywa is watching and
Ewya is guarding

She is mother of all
The keeper of balance
The one who loves all
Despite shapes and faces

Na'vi and earthlings
Embraced by her kindness

Love and affection
We expect of our mothers

Brothers and sisters
Happily living
With the songs of their tribes
From their very beginning

Beauty and love, balance and nature
No dangers compare to the hypnotic creatures

Legends of figures that lead in the bad times
Strength and connections
Will always suffice

Both the trees and the people
Animals too
There's a balance in nature
It involves us too

Do you understand clearly
What I'm trying to say
Our mother is dying
Till this very day

Our mother is hurting
The earth turns mechanic
Help me my family
And we can all save her

I would give all I have
To help save our world
But I can't do it alone
So I call for your help

#5
Wind beneath his wing-span

Don't look into their eyes
Only riders brave their depths
Only riders grace their wings
To soar unchartered skies and lands

A banshee is loyal; till the very end
With only one rider; to fight with, and defend

Kings and queens of the sky to watch over in peace
Bigger then then medusa with their deafening screech.
But bigger than medusa and ikrans alike
Striking fear into their hearts with wings blood-red bright

With a wing-span double then most banshees alike
When this animal soars, you'd best take flight

King of the skies, and most of the land
Get caught by Toruk, and your chances are bland

Only his rider, brave Toruk Makto, can fly this fierce beast
And unite all around

When tribes are in strife
When trouble brews
When desperation calls
Toruk will come through

With beauty and strength
Yet heart-wrenching solitude
This king of the skies, guards it's brood
Both banshee and Na'vi, all beings alike
Under Toruk's large wing-span, you'll be safe
For the night

I know I said weekly, but here's a poem for the new year I wrote last night..
hope whoever reads it enjoys.

A new beginning

Children laugh with open mouths
While parents scold with gentled hearts
A new beginning reigns over us
A chance for us to all restart.

Foals are born, with knobbly legs
Babes red-faced wail heartedly
Butterflies hatch from their cocoons
We welcome new years happily.

As summer season kicks in start
Fun and dreams reign thoroughly
The hopes of thousands for dreams to flourish
No need for speed or hurrying.

The heart thunders, palms sweat
And romance rents the air
Like spring, it's time to rejuvenate
There's plenty love to spare

Families gather, friends all crowd
The final moments of last years sound
From ten the crowds all of the world
All hold their breathe and freeze
From 3, 2, 1 the new year reigns;

And so a new beginning

That's really not bad! I'll try to see if some of them could be translated into Na'vi, if you don't mind...
First poem looks like good candidate

my next poem. it's not the best, but I was a bit angry and it just came out like this.

A mother scorned

Feel the rage of a thousand dire horse
Thundering hooves, akin to storms
Raging over open oceans
Roars to rival thanators
Feel the howls of the winds unleashed
A thousand ikran
Begin to screech
How dare you challenge her immortal reign
She may maintain the balance
But she can bring the pain.
Eywa has heard you
Have no doubt
When the fight begins
Watch Pandora lash out
The trumpets of Sturmbeest rent the air
Than viperwolves growl and you'd best beware.
You think you can mess
With the planet Pandora
Step on up
And watch a mother scorned
Heat up.

Finally I selected this shortest poem for start. Meaning should remain roughly the same, although because of missing words something could look a bit different. Now I'll try something longer. :)

Sorry I'm a few days off, I've just had a lot on my plate. but I promise next time, it will be a week or before hand, and not a second longer.
I hope you enjoy this poem, I was feeling...desolate and in need of a hug, and then I thought 'duh! I'm not the only one who needs a hug.' So here's a hug for everyone who reads this. it's called 'a gentle hand'
feel free to tell me what you think.
please enjoy

A gentle hand

A forest a world, Pandora in sync
A moment, a bond, a connection, a blink.
Feel eywa's breeze cradle your wings
This is a new chance, a new beginning
Forget your problems, your hate, your woes,
Forget the world, who tells you 'no'
She'll hold you gently, rock you yet
Sleep to the sounds of a Pandoran forest
See the wonder, adore the beauty
Watch the wild claim your heart
Then as you leave, feel torn apart.
This world we see is one of dreams
Of hopes, of visions, of happiness
Feel your spirit roam free
And become one of the Na'vi.

Simply fantastic! I still plan to translate some others into Na'vi, but it really is not so easy as I expected (not sayin' I'm too busy these days). But I still hope I'll succeed one day.

another poem everybody. I will admit though, that it's not one of my best, I'm not really ontop of my game lately. in fact if I'm honest, I don't particularly like this poem. but I hope you do.

The Most Dangerous Thing

Just look around you now and be filled with fear
Compared to everything else you're the smallest here.
The tribes, the animals and all the plants too
All your self-preservation instincts shout at you.
Toruk, and the thanator, a dangerous pair
Whether on land or flying, you'd best beware.
Arrows, knives, animals and plants
Escape from Pandora, if you can.
Dangers unknown, the risk to high
If you come to Pandora, you'll surely die.
Despite all these things, danger apparent
This Pandoran paradise could be your safe haven
Despite all the risks, the chance and the fear
With our mother Eywa, you're welcomed here.
Feel her embrace as her love becomes known
Of all the dangers you'll cross,
Whether beast, plant or poison
When you call Pandora, home.
That's the most dangerous occurance;

Ok here's my song. Uuum, tell me what you think.
I haven't written a song in a long time, so I'm sorry if it's not really good.
umm, so yeah. here it is. it's called 'If you hear me'

If you hear me

Verse 1
Fire falling down like rain
The animals all hide
Great machines all killed the earth
The sun saw all and cried
We killed our mother
The keeper of the balance
We killed our mother
and it's left a bitter taste

Chorus
If you hear me mother
Please search into my heart
If you hear me mother, now
This is tearing me apart
We tore the plants all from the ground
We filled the sky with acid rain
We hunted till there was none left
And now nothing is the same

Verse 2
I cry for what has happened here
I cry for you tonight
I cry for all the pain and fear
Please help me make this right.
I hear your voice across the plains
As soft as summers touch
The warmth, the sun, the loving tone
The safety of a mothers clutch

Bridge
I dream of soaring through the skies
On wings as wide from East to West
A freedom yet unknown to man
Till we know for our mother, what is best

Chorus
If you hear me mother (Echo 1)
Please search into my heart
If you hear me mother, now (Echo 1)
This is tearing me apart
We tore the plants all from the ground
We filled the sky with acid rain
We hunted till there was none left
And now nothing is the same
No nothing, will ever be
The same

so uh, yeah. tell me what you think.
