Indeed. How did I miss all these little new boards?

I'm not sure, they're kind of suggested and then randomly appear. I really like this board though and I love to read.

I might end up here as often as I do the new Sports board. Just finished a review which took me forever to write and I nearly couldn't post it because my internet went out.

Has anyone read "The Dice Man"? My Mum brought it home because I like "Bringing Down the House" and thought that I would like it.

I haven't heard of it. You'll have to tell me how it is.

You know, most books are better the second time you read them I've found. I wish I could say the same for "His Dark Materials". It's just not holding up the way I remembered it.

Have you ever read any of David Eddings' books?  The Belgariad series especially (and its sequel The Mallorean) I have found to stand up to multiple readings, and readings at different ages and life stages.

QuoteI've heard as much bad about it as I have good.

Re: the Silmarillion?  It's probably all true.  Having read it once, I find that I use it more as a reference, although the very beginning is nice.

I had to stop reading The Dice Man. WAY too much sexual reference.. Mum didn't think it was appropriate for a 15 year old.

That's a pretty cool concept. Certainly could make things interesting

I was disappointed; the concept was awesome but the content lacked clothed and "prose" content.
